I want a studio at Copper Creek Villas at WL, DH wants a preferred studio at Boardwalk Villas
We both like MK & EPCOT
2 adults, good shape, in our 60's

Our time frame next year is late April into May, arrive on a Sunday night and depart on Saturday morning.
5 days in the parks
Per Davids rentals - a standard studio at CC is less money then a preferred studio at BW

So which is easier to acquire ?
Which is better and why ?

Thank you for helping us decide

You might start with location. CC gives you easy access to MK via the boat. BW gives you easy access to EP and HS, by walking or boat. So you're MK/EP priority doesn't help the decision much! BW probably offers more dining options within walking distance, since you have BC/YC/S&D and all of EPCOT. For us, CC is a much more picturesque place to stay, but that might not be true for all. Perhaps a split stay might work really well here? Not sure if that's even an option or something you would consider. Good news - you don't have a bad choice! Good luck and enjoy your time!

There are two different "preferred views" at BWV...Boardwalk View and Pool/Garden View. They both require the exact same number of points but there are far fewer BW views and they are more popular with owners so your chances of getting one when going through a rental agency are pretty slim. However the P/G views can be had much more easily.

At CCV, there are 2 types of studios...deluxe studio and deluxe with walk-in shower. However there are so few of each that owners have difficulty booking studios at CCV.

I'd say your best chances are for a BWV P/G studio.

Is a 1br out of your price range?

Because they are sooooo much nicer than a studio for things like one of you can't sleep and needn't sit in the bathroom to avoid disturbing the other. They can go into the separate kitchen and sitting room to do whatever.

The fully equipped kitchen and in-room washer/dryer can be real bonuses.

Better still, the 1brs are often more readily available.

We love both places. We love the boat ride to MK. I would also suggest a split stay. The location of BW is really top notch. BW itself does not have much to pick from as far as easy access to food. No QS for morning or snacks. There are many options on the boardwalk and at other hotels.

CC also has a lot of food options (IMO) - Geyser Point, Roaring Fork, Whispering Canyon, Artist Point.

The boat also takes you to Contemporary where you can easy hop on monorail to other resorts.

Forgot to mention that would be Flower & Garden festival so availability may be limited. If you see yourself going to Epcot multiple days, then BW would win.

We own BWV...so we rarely stay anywhere else...but we did stay in a Studio with walk in shower at CCV 2 wks ago..for a nite...these studios are smaller than BW as the ones at CCV were part of the hotel hence they had to work with the space that was available...If you are able to rent a BW studio P/GV at the time Food and Wine Festival is available i would do that....Walking or boating to Epcot or the DHS is awesome! Great restaurants around the Epcot resorts...

Are you looking for a getaway (ccv) or to be where the action is (bwv)?

Since we only visit once a year, we want to be in the thick of things so bwv is our choice. We would rather walk than wait for any transportation, or be limited by transportation. Depends on your preference….

BWV not our favorite but that being said the location can’t be beat. Also you have the sky liner as well. Whatever you choose enjoy and have a great trip!😎

Because of it being the Flower Show, I would pick BWV.

QS for BWV includes the Bakery, Trattoria carry-out, and the food options at Yacht/Beach/Swan/Dolphin. It's fine when the weather is good. Kind of annoying when the weather is bad.
I own both BWV and CCV. As other have said - each location has a different feel. If you're going for a CCV studio, make sure you request you reservation so that it can be filled at exactly 11 months. CCV studios definitely fill up quicker than BWV studios - though at BWV you're looking at Pool/Garden...

As for BWV, when I was there nothing but the Sundry shop was opened (may be wrong on name). Trattoria I consider more than "quick service" and all others require time to leave and walk over. I just meant it's not as convenient for food. Definitely love the location though!

Agreed - Trattoria is more than quick service. As a table service location it's awesome. However, there is a "Trattoria al Forno To Go" option now on MDE, so it does become another QS option.

The Boardwalk is starting to liven up again. most if not all the booths are now open during the day, Big River Grille is operating at full capacity, and the entertainment options were there during my stay in December.

Yes, we did enjoy the mobile order at Trattoria! Def more expensive though. Delicious nonetheless.

Thank you for all the suggestions
we will reserve at the BWV for a studio
We do not mind a view of grass, a quiet pool, or trees
Just not the laundry or garbage :worried:
