CBS was about to cut to Jim Axelrod reporting live, and all you could hear him say was "???? ??? YOU IDIOT!"

Apparently the troops have just been told to put on their chem-suits.

Still no word back from Axelrod!

I can't bear to watch. There is something that feels very 'wrong' to me about being able to watch and hear this destruction while it's happening. I will read the paper tomorrow.

A few years ago I started getting 20+ calls a day to my cell phone asking for Jim (You can see where this is going). I thought it was a fluke until it became 100+ calls a day to my cell phone. Finally I asked who "Jim" is and where the caller got my number. The lady said "Jim Axelrod" (meant nothing to me , I'm a nbc girl). She explained who he was and he was in FL handling the Bush/Gore presidential fiasco and had given out my cell phone number out to the Assoc. Press. She suggested I immediately get a new number. Well, I had that number for years and did not want to switch.
One of my clients at the time was a NY news station and I asked them to call Jim and tell him to correct the number he was giving out.
Worked.
Kinda funny story!
