CBR vs. Pop- Easy choice?

I had booked a room for my January visit at Pop--preferred room. With the AP discount, I can get a regular King room at CBR for the same price.

Is there any reason not to make the switch? It's a solo trip. I don't mind ubering to get to parks for rope drop if I want to. Love the Skyliner. Would like more to do at the resort than Pop offers.

I've stayed at Pop twice recently. But it's been eons since I've stayed at CBR.

I suppose I'm just looking for a quick double check.

How much time do you spend at your resort or in the room? Pop is smaller in size compared to CBR so no need for a bus that stops at more than one stop. Skyliner is kinda a wash at both unless you need to take an internal bus to get from your room to the Skyliner at CBR?

As a solo traveler I'd highly recommend considering a Standard room at Pop over Preferred. There are many locations at Pop where Standard is the same distance (and sometimes closer) to amenities than the Preferred rooms are.

Personally, I'd stick with Pop if it were my decision.

I'm just back from pop... I would switch. Its fine but CBR has more to offer!

Honestly, since it is a solo trip, it is a toss up, given you said the pricing would be the same. Both have pros and cons. I have stayed at both, but have always had someone with me, and
prefer CBR for the overall experience. (POP 2018, CBR 2020)

The main public spaces at CBR look nice, but the actual rooms don't look all that nice (in my opinion). The rooms at Pop look a lot more fun!

Definitely pick CBR, you'll have access to Riviera too! Prima Piatto is so tasty.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I went ahead and switched to CBR. It'll be fun to stay at an almost-new-to-me resort. I had been thinking about being close to Rivera too......it will be nice to have fairly easy access to Prima Piatto!

Good choice! CBR was my first on-property resort and it still holds a special place in my heart. Pop is ok - I stayed there last fall - but honestly the rooms feel like rehab center chic to me. Too stark for my liking.
