CBR Travel Time

We staying at the CBR for the first time during the first week of September. What are the approximate travel times to each of the parks? (I've heard this isn't a very busy week, I assume this will decrease the time?) This info will help us determine whether to drive our car or take the bus. THANKS so much for any info you can share.

We stayed over Labor Day in 2003. It is probably quicker to ride the Disney shuttles instead of driving. We have done both, and while parking is free with your Disney Resort Parking pass, it is hectic to go to the lot, get in your vehicle, and fight traffic. Take the buses.

Thanks, Kevin! I appreciate your advice! However, we will have to drive our car at least some of the time because we have other 'business' to take care of while we are in Orlando. Also, we have ADR at other resorts. I've heard it's a hassle to take a shuttle to a park, then to another resort for dinner, and back to a park to get a shuttle back to the home resort. We do want to utizlize Disney transportation when it's feasible, but there will be times when it won't be in our best interest (I assume...). I will be better able to judge some of our personal circumstances with travel time estimates. Hopefully someone will have them. THANKS again!

I love being able to drive to the parks when I go to WDW. The only park you may want to take the bus to is MK. It drops you near the entrance.

Thanks, safetymom! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading MANY posts in the CBR FAQs threads... SO very helpful to me!

As I mentioned above, we will take our car to a few of the parks because of our ADRs. However, I'd like to use the bus if it is feasible. If you have used the buses (I'm assuming you have since you're such an expert on CBR! ), what was your experience with time to the parks? I've read some complaints that it can take and hour to get from CBR to a park. If so, we're driving ourselves! However, if it takes 10-15 minutes, then it may be more feasible for us.

I am not a bus expert when it comes to CBR. We usually try to use our car, we just prefer it. The only park we would take the bus or monorail to was MK. But it never took us an hour to get to the park.

At closing time I like having my car instead of waiting in a line for a bus.
