Okie dokie, we're finally ready to book our 1st trip, and have decided on CBR.

1)I got an email with a 30% off pin, and while pricing out our trip, I don't see anywhere online to enter the PIN. I want to be able to enter our PIN to see how much $$ we are saving.

2)Will it still be warm enough in late October/early November to swim in the outdoor pools?

3)We'll be paying our travel agent with cash/debit for the whole trip when we book. Do I still need a credit card when we check in to the hotel, even if the trip is paid for? I don't believe in credit cards so I would prefer not to have to get one for this trip.

4)Should I buy Universal Studio passes before we go, or is there somewhere near the hotel to get them? Also, what are our transportation options to get from CBR to US?

5)Is there a food court at CBR and do they have the refillable mugs?

You have to call in order to find out what kind discount your PIN is. There is no way to do it online.

I think you will be fine to swim, barring any cold snaps. Plus the pools are heated.

Hope this helps some!

You would only need a credit card if you wanted charging priviledges attached to your room key.

4)Should I buy Universal Studio passes before we go, or is there somewhere near the hotel to get them? Also, what are our transportation options to get from CBR to US?

I don't have any experience with this. I know Disney doesn't provide any transportation. You would probably need to call a cab. You could buy your tickets beforehand and it would probably be the easiest thing. There is a Univeral board on the Dis.

5)Is there a food court at CBR and do they have the refillable mugs?Yes to both.

You might want to start by reading the CBR FAQ thread. Link is below. I don't know where you are from but October is a great time for swimming here in FL.

Congrats on your upcoming stay at CBR. Seems like you got a heck of a deal. Last year we stayed at WL and went during the first week in Oct. My son gets a fall break at school and it worked out perfectly. You are going at a good time of year. We were unsure about wait times and weather when we booked and we were glad we went in Oct. Wait time for Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, and It's a Small World 10-15 minutes tops. Weather it did not rain, probably 80 degrees and so I imagine you will still be able to swim when you arrive. Most resort pools are heated. Just a few bits of info about CBR. Our first on site stay, we spent a week at CBR and it was really nice. The only disadvantages are: bus transportation is a bit of a nightmare. It is such a huge resort, that you have to stop at every bus stop at every area. Each area is named after a Caribbean island. You may have to stop at five areas before you ever leave the premises. It was really bad when we went because it was during the summer and it was very crowded. A lot of times we either had to stand up or found people standing while the bus was in motion. We also payed for our trip in advance. We don't like to use credit cards either. I am almost sure that no credit card was needed at check in. I may be wrong. About Universal Studios, when we stayed at CBR we went to Sea World. We called a local bus company that made trips to area parks. I can't remember the cost of that bus ride, but we were able to purchase tickets once we arrived at the park. Hope this info helps.
