Need to get an opinion on what is the better property for central location and transportation. It seems like the royal guest rooms are much nicer than the preferred rooms at CBR. We'll be spending most of our time at MK. Thanks in advance.

We stayed at POFQ recently, and the trip around to all the bus stops at POR seemed to take longer than what we experienced at CBR. (it may have been because we weren't used to sharing at POFQ, so it came as a surprise).

In general, the distances to the Magic Kingdom are about equal (5 miles from POR and 6 from CBR) but CBR is closer to DHS and AK. They're the same distance from Epcot.

I would never make a decision based on transportation alone, because all the buses are run by the same system. There can be flukes everywhere.

As for appeal....the double beds at CBR turn me off to it. When we stayed it was with a king size bed, so we got around it.

Stayed in the POR Royal rooms last fall and LOVED them! I would go back to those rooms in a heartbeat, plus the resort is beautiful. The location of the royal rooms within the resort was a very quick walk to the main hub and we would catch the bus at the main hub too. Never a problem with buses.

One thing to consider is that the Royal Rooms are practically brand new, while the rooms at CBR are due for a refurb.

That is another good point to choose POR over CBR!

If you are travelling with any young females then I would go for the POR Royal Guest rooms.

Another supporter of the PoR royal rooms. We loved them!! Both for the queen size beds with my parents and for my5 yrs old!!

Yes to POR, queen beds over twins and the royal rooms are pretty much 5 minutes or less from the main spots at POR.

Not twins - double/full beds at CBR. And the Preferred rooms there would be equally close (if not more) to the main spots at CBR, given that Preferred is based primarily on proximity.

My bad on saying twin, thought double and typed twin:) Was just stating that since the Royal rooms are not preferred, they are still pretty close to everything.

The Royal Rooms are actually a hike to the main pool. They are down the path and across the bridge to the main building so not a far walk to the main building. Overall, preferred rooms at CBR are probably a better location. But I prefer POR.
