I am visiting in Oct. and am very undecided on which moderate to choose. I live only and hour from New Orleans so I'm not interested in the Port Orleans resorts. I really like the outer views of both the other mods though. I am a little concerned about the loud colors of the CSR rooms though. Can anyone tell me where is the best locations for calm color schemes in the rooms?

Welcome to the DIS.

We prefer CBR. I have pictures of the rooms at CBR on my website listed below. All the rooms at CBR are decorated the same.

My family me 33 :earsgirl: , my honey :earsboy: , 13 yr :earsgirl: , are going back to CBR this June for our third trip to this resort. We love this resort and dont have anything negative to say. I would i suggest you request the preferred locations it does cost extra $15.00 nite more but it is really worth it. I dont have any comments about CSR. But if you go to CBR I know you will enjoy it. I know I cant wait to get there in June!! :teeth:

We prefer CSR! Just back from our stay and I have added 88 new pics to the website below. Check them out

Loved CSR and will return. We didn't feel like the color was too much, but then we were busy enjoying all the hotel had to offer while we were there. We felt like it was a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

We enjoyed both but prefer CSR for a few reasons-CSR has beautiful grounds and great theming! They have a really fun, large themed pool where as CBR's theme pool is way too small. The food court at CSr to have way more choices, better quality food and fresher food. :goodvibes
We feel CSr has a very peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. DH napped a few times on the hammock outside our building! We took walks around the lake at night that were really nice. The buses at CSR are superior to CBR in my opinion. AT CBR we waited a lot during our stay for buses and often, they were already full by the time they got to our village. AT CSR we rarely wait more than a few minutes and we always had a seat!
Highly recommend CSR! We are headed back in 2006!! :Pinkbounc

I would say that the Cabanas section of CSR is very similar to CBR with a beachy theme and colors. That way you can have the best of both worlds. Do check out Buzz2001's website, it is awesome!

My family loves CBR. We love the tropical themeing and the peaceful atmosphere there. The food court is great with a wide variety of choices, and we have never had a problem with the bus system. My daughters love the main pool and the quiet pools in each of the villages. There are beautiful beaches with relaxing hammocks overlooking the lake. We have stayed in Martinique when the girls were young. But now that the girls are older, I prefer Jamaica because you have a nice short walk over a bridge to get to the food court and main pool. The rooms are big and have two double sinks. CBR is so beauitiful, and we wouldn't stay anywheree else. Good luck with your decision. ::MickeyMo

Well my wife and I have been going to CBR for probably close to 10 years. We love CBR. The rooms are nice and the food court is great, to me it has a wide varitiety of choices. We also enjoy the tropical theme of CBR also. Hope this helps a little.
