CBR or CSR

Definitely CSR! We love the main pool and slide, they are a blast, the buses are the best and the food is very good.

Another vote for CBR!

We stay there just about every time we go to WDW. The grounds are so beautiful and relaxing.

If you request a preferred room you will be within walking distance of the main pool, food court, and shops. They do have transportation that takes you all over the resort and the walk is really not that bad from any of the other buldings. They have an island in the middle of the lake with a bridge that connects both sides.

We always feel like we are going home when we stay at CBR.

I have stayed at both once for a convention in Jan 2007 and the CBR in Jan 2006.

I prefer the theming at CBR. Personally CSR felt like a convention hotel, maybe because I stayed there for that and not for pleasure....

We're DVC too and I would stay at CSR! It s'gorgeous and the CMs are fantastic.

By looking at my siggie I'm sure this will be confusing, I've never seen that many old people at POR. I've rode the bus through the many times and have eaten at Boatwrights. There are many families that stay there. One time I was on the boat with 8 female senior citizens that had come in from the coast because of Wilma. Maybe the older we get we appreciate the beauty of nature more. Possibly because it reminds of being in the spring of our life. But I've seen more elderly people on the bus at CSR. While I will be staying there again, it is not my choice. DBF wants a fitness center, so CSR here I come. The things we do for love.

Having just stayed at CBR and prior to that staying at CSR, I would hands down go with CSR. I would stay at the All Stars or Pop before ever staying at CBR again. Not once did I feel like I was actually staying at a Disney Resort while I was at Caribbean Beach.

It appears that there are many differing opinions. Thanks to all of you for your responses. However, when I called today, my decision was already made for me. CSR was no longer available for those dates. So, I will go to CBR. I requested the Casitas section. I'm sure we'll love it. We have never had a bad time at Disney. I did have one question, though. One of the responders mentioned that we should request a preferred room to get closer to the food court, etc. The CM on the phone told me that the only difference between preferred and standard at the moderates was that the preferred had a better view. Can someone clarify?

Made a mistake...Casitas was our preference at CSR....our preference at CBR is Martinique.

Preferred is based on location. Closer to the main building and pool.
I don't see it listed on the Disney site when I searched prices, but I think to get preferred plus a request for water view it would be extra. It's kind of confusing the way they have the site set up and someone correct me if I am wrong.

We have stayed at both of these resorts.

We really loved them both but CSR is a very hot resort with alot of walking. In the summer heat try walking to the main bldg and there is nowhere to get out of the sun. That said the pool is awesome and we love to eat there. If you are tired of burgers there are so many more choices, pasta, bourbon chicken, quesadias you'll enjoy.

POFQ or POR you get use of two themed pools, the food court at POFQ is smaller and the resort has a more intimate feeling. POR has many more choices and a bit more busy. I do love the charm of this resort feeling a little laid back a moderate worth the price.

Try both I am going to evenually stay at at all of the resort
