CBR help please!

Just booked a last minute, quick weekend trip (though I don't really consider 45 days super last minute). In general I'm not a huge fans of Moderates (with the exception of POFQ) but CBR was literally, the only affordable option (and I found it after refreshing multiple times so I think I may have gotten someones cancellation).

CBR is the resort I've always had to visit while on ME, but I've never actually been there.

It looks like I'd want to request Martinique or Trinidad north to be close to the action? We're there in mid-Nov so swimming is probably not likely, but with just me and a 7 year old I like to be close to restaurant/store/etc. Is it better to request something else?

I'm assuming it's a busy time of year due to the fact that I had such a hard time finding a room ($999 for a night at AKL? No thanks!!) so is there anything I should look at in terms of busses to parks (probably only doing HS and MK for Xmas party, maybe Epcot).

I looked for an everything CBR thread, but couldn't find one. Thanks for any help!!

Do you have a preferred room? If not, (if you have a standard room), id request Jamaica 45. Thats a short walk across the bridge to the main building. We stayed here and loved the location considering its a standard room.

If you have a preferred room, then yes, trinidad north and martinique will put you right at the action, close to the main building.

Just wanted to mention, the bridge is closed for refurbishment until the end of November.

• Aug. 3-Nov. 26: The main bridge going from Aruba and Jamaica to Old Port Royale will be closed. Guests may take a shuttle, internal van or boat from Aruba to Bike Works.

I would request as close as possible to Old Port Royale / main pool.

If you can, book preferred.

If not, I wouldn't suggest Jamaica right now due to the bridge being closed.

We stayed in Barbados 15 once, and it wasn't too bad. A little bit of a walk, but doable.

Martinique 21, 22, 23 would be good requests, perhaps. I think that they are standard rooms?
