We are checking in at the CBR on July 1 and we will be celebrating my daughter's 8th birthday. I always tip each day and I was wondering if there is a chance that she will get any towel animals??? We have only been to WDW one time before and we neve rec'd one. I think she would really enjoy getting her first towel animals. Do the moderate resort guests get them sometimes?

I think towel animals are hit or miss. As long as you don't feel like they owe you one you won't be disappointed if you don't get one. We got one last year and were suprised but it wouldn't have ruined our trip if we didn't get one either.

We have gotten towel animals every time we have stayed at CBR. After the hurricane last year they had housekeepers showing how to make them at the food court.

Just don't expect one and be surprised and thrilled when they do.

We stayed at CBR for 7 nights about 18 months ago. We got towel animals every day. One day, our mousekeeper made a picnic on the bed with soda, chips, stuffed animals and towels animals. We got toothbrush holders, etc.

I left a note one day saying that my daughter wanted to give Mickey soap or shampoo to her 14 classmates if possible. The next day there were 28 items. 14 Mickey soaps and 14 shampoos.

It was totally awesome and a real asset to our trip. We always tip $4.00 per day ( $1 per person).

Good luck and I hope you get lots of great "stuff"

The only time we have ever gotten towel animals was when we stayed at the CBR this past december. They left different animals for us every day, one day they left a towel clown with stickers and a note telling my daughters to take all the animals home. My sister was in the next room and also got animals, and my parents were in a different building and they got animals too, but not as many as I did. I did tip every day and left thank you notes.

THey make the towel animals every morning in Old Port Royal. We never got one from the maids we got them at the royal.

We were just there. There were towel animals twice in our room. Also every morning in the food court they have a table set up and will make any animal you want and you can take them with you.

We got towel displays on our last Spring Break trip at POR, not so much animals. We were there for Easter so we got an Easter basket with and Easter bunny all made out of towels with blue Easter basket grass and stickers. She took the several Stitch toys my kids had accumulated over the trip and had them put on a concert on several different towel stages and set the other toys up as an audience on towel stadium seating. She made a canoe for a husky dog, a hammock for a panda. One night we didn't have anything but I told the kids the displays were just someone being extra nice and not to be expected. It did add magic to our vacation though. When we found our Mousekeeper in the room next door, the kids hugged her and took her picture and had her sign the autograph books. Then we tipped her. We hadn't up until then so tipping her wasn't her reason for the extra magic. She said she does it because kids come back from the parks tired and it's so nice for them to have something special to come back to. We were just lucky to have Zenia as our Mousekeeper.

We were at CBR this April 2-8, and we had towel animals every day. In fact, we kept them each day, and by the end of our stay we would return to our room to find the animals all arranged along with my sons' Lego toys he'd bought at Downtown Disney! I would guess, if you leave a nice note for Mousekeeping with your tip, you'll be very happy!

You might want to consider leaving her birthday button (that you get in the MK) out on a table or nightstand or something. We did that (albeit not intentionally--just a place to put it) when we stayed at WL in January just after my daughter's eighth birthday, and mousekeeping left great towel animals each day. Here's hoping.....

Happy birthday to your daughter!! :earsboy:

We just got back from CBR (Jamaica #44) and got towel animals twice. I think it was probably because it was obvious that we had a small child with us (stuffed princesses everywhere). We did leave a tip of $1 per person per day, so maybe that helped.
