Anyone want any info on the 2 hotels just ask! Weather was awful for 5 days. Rained like i have never seen before. Suppose i can't blame Disney for that! :cheer2:

Hi andrea, welcome back, we left last thursday so had some experience of the rain, awful! :umbrella: glad you had a good time, I would love to stay at HRH, is it as cool as it looks? how long does it take to walk or boat to US or IOA? :cool1:

Welcome home!

We are spending one night at CBR in August so would love to hear what you think are our "must sees" there (bearing in mind we arrive at about 17.00 hours and will be checking out next morning, so won;t have bags of time)

We're staying at CBR for 2 weeks in September so your views will be greatly appreciated. Would love to know which area of hotel you thought would be the best to stay in regarding position/crowds etc.

And welcome back!

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about the weather. :umbrella: Glad to hear you still had fun though.

Which part of CBR did you stay in? I've also been scouring everyones reports of this resort so that we can pick up tips, etc

:cheer2:

Just back from HRH for a few days too and we thought that it was quicker to walk then take the boat. The front of the line hotel pass key was worth the money for the cost of the nights we stayed. It is amazing you can go to the front of the queue for any ride how many times you like.

We are DVC members and would consider a couple of nights in a universal hotel whilst visiting the universal parks on other trips at the beginning or end of Disney nights.

I didn't think HRH was a good as other Disney hotels I have been to but you can't beat the location. We found the staff rather rude.

Martinique Block 25 or 26 are idea place - nearest to food court and pool. Pool not very big, and quite busy all day. My daughter loved it and didn't want to go to any parks! Life guards(5 of them) on guard from 10am till 7pm. Childrens activities from 11-1.30 and then 3-5.30.
Ideal night - sat on the small beach, at the back of the Banana Cabana(pool side) watching Epcot fireworks. A couple of nights we even heard the music!
Would go back to CBR again, finances allowing!

HRH was soooo cool. No problem with rude staff, in fact they were all soooo cool as well. Room keys are a god send. Went on Incredible Hulk 4 times and dueling dragons 3 (front row seats)

Next time will spend 9 nights at CBR and 5 at HRH.

Must do's at CBR - lie on a hammock and let the world pass you by.
Must do's at HRH - try and look trendy by the pool!!
:cheer2:

Forget to mention, Disney Dolphin, i live in Cheshire also so if we can find a way to get in touch that would be great!!

Andrea,
Isn't it a small world! :flower: There seem to be quite a few people from Cheshire planning holidays to Disney lately. PM me anytime you want to chat...Im quite often on here too! :rolleyes1

We have decided this time not to pay for preferred blocks. We have booked through Magical Journeys and Melissa has forwarded our requests to Disney, comprising of 1) Non smoking room 2)Top floor and 3) A block not too far from main complex, maybe Jamaica or Barbados.
Im assuming the first two are given requests, easy for them to oblige me with, so am hoping they may feel like giving us a nice room.
Although, TBH we will enjoy our time even if we are placed in the outskirts of CBR. :cool1:

I agree that the hammocks look really cool. I can just imagine lounging in one with a cool drink in the cooling evening. :cloud9:

Did you find more mosquito's in the area of CBR, due to the lake? The only time we were bitten in 2003 was one evening at Illuminations at Epcot, standing on the bridge watching the fireworks. They were out in force that night. :crazy2:

Thanks for all the help everyone.

No bugs at all. Only biten once and that was at Universal. Did not see any creepy crawlies! 2 resident rabbits outside our room, lots of ducks, turtles and birds.
It is only when you are back at work and doing the housework that you realise how much of a good time we really did have even with the mixed weather! (yes youve guessed it- first day back at work today!!??) :cheer2:

Welcome back!

Glad that you also loved the hotels as much as we have in the past.
