The Cast
Me - always dreamed of going to Disney but never thought it would happen.
DH - his worst nightmare has finally arrived he's going to Disney.
We are up and out early today for breakfast at the Ponderosa. Then its back to the hotel to get our stuff together ready for MGM. We take the I trolley and then the bus to MK where we then get a bus to MGM. This is where I find not having a car frustrating as you are passing most of the turn offs for the parks and then having to come back on yourself, but at $26 aprox for one way in a taxi we just have to put up with it.
MGM was probably the one place I was really looking forward to going to. We arrived and I took the usual obligatory photos of Mickeys hat before making our way around the park. As usual we had no plan of action we did remember to get a map and took it from there. We walked into the Indianna Jones and got good seats near the front. We both really enjoyed this the special effects were pretty good. From here we made our way to the muppet 3d
again I couldn't fault this the 3d films are something else. The weather is getting hot again and so we sit in the shade for a while pondering what to do next. We decide to go on the backlot tour. We really enjoyed this, some of these special effects are pretty amazing. After a nice rest on the tour we decide to get a fast past for the little mermaid. Having got that we wondered around looking for a steak sandwich bar we had seen not long after we arrived, we couldn't find it and so had a pizza lunch. It was fun to see the tower of terror and to hear the screams, going on here was never an option for me.
Not long after lunch we used the fp for the little mermaid. Whilst waiting to go into the theatre one of the little ones around had poo'd in their nappy (at least that is what I hope it was) and the stink in a small place was real yuk. So when its time to go in we make an opposite move from the lady with the baby behind us. I am not sure what I thought about the little mermaid it was good but not what I expected but saying that I wasn't sure what to expect
I would be interested to know if the girl who played Ariel was singing or miming as if it was the latter she had a really good voice.
The weather is getting hotter now and so we decide to go to the Great Movie Ride. I loved this especially the beginning but dh wasn't so keen, but at least it was a sit down for a while. We come out of this and go into The Magic Of Disney Animation. I thought this was very cleverly done with the interaction of Mulon and the presenter on the stage. We both enjoyed this and finished off by checking out our character and it was no surprise to find I was the wicked queen
We make our way to the exit and after a long journey back finally arrive back into our room where we both collapse onto the bed.
To tired to go out we put some washing in the laundry and decide to make some toast. Note to self - when making toast in the hotel room make sure air conditioning is on full else the fire alarm will keep going off. The noise from the pool is somewhat loud as I look out and realise that there are loads of teenagers on a school trip in the pool and surrounding area screaming!
Tv and bed are a nice relaxation as I am following the story on fox news of the runaway bride. It finally is quiet and I peek outside where I find the teachers have taped the outside of the doors where the students are staying, for the first time this holiday it felt good to be old.
