For those with mobility issues considering going in and out of Salt Lake City using Skywest (Delta partner), they do not have a regular jet way. They have a slightly different set up. On our recent trip to WDW, I arranged our air travel on Delta with a connection at Salt Lake City. The two ladies with me both had walking problems. One in particular was in a cast. So it was to all of our dismay that when we arrived that we found we had to climb down a set of stairs. Our return flight also went through SLC. Their set up inside is a little different also. They have 22 gates in close proximity to one another. Each of the gates open on to a long corridor which splits in two at some point. To board you have to walk through the gate, then down this long corridor to another door, then through that door on to the flight line and climb up the stairs into your plane. I requested preboarding so I could get the ladies up the stairs and situated. Well, their idea of preboarding differs from mine. They called us up to the gate and let us enter the corridor first. Then they also immediately allowed in everyone else behind us. So some people (being who they are) raced to get in front of us as we crutched our way down the corridor. So the leisurely process of getting them in the plane and settled was anything but. So if you are considering flying through SLC using them, beware of the drawbacks.
