One of our cats, Rosalind, carries a Dilbert doll around like it is a kitten. DH got this little "beanie" type Dilbert doll several years ago and put him on the top of his computer monitor. He came home and discovered "Mr. Dilbert" (as we call him) was on the floor of the living room. He returned Mr. Dilbert to the computer. Came home the next day, Mr. D is now on the couch. Returned Mr. D to the computer. Next day, Mr. D was in the bedroom. That's when he gave up, and let the cats have Dilbert.
I've found Mr. Dilbert in the bathtub, on the toilet (when the lid was closed), under the covers on DH's side of the bed, in a gift bag left on the table, draped over the top of the cat food dispenser, in the chair where I was sitting when I return from the kitchen/bathroom, in the back of the closet, on the chair in front of the computer...
The funniest thing is that Rosalind doesn't want us to see her "hiding" Mr. Dilbert when she moves him, so she tries to sneak through the house when she's carrying him, and the moment we look at her she drops him and runs over to us. Sometimes she sort of "chuckles" over him as she carries him around the house. Mr. Dilbert most often comes out when Rosalind misses us or is lonely. Every now and then in the middle of the night I'll hear a muffled version of her "where are you?" meow, and I'll call to her. When she runs into the room, I'll hear a soft "thud", and then she jumps on the bed. In the morning, sure enough, Mr. Dilbert is on the floor next to the bed!
Wish I could post the picture of Ros and Mr. D, but I can't figure out how yet...
