Happy whooooohooooo Wednesday everyone!! What are you celebrating today??

I am going to celebrate my commitment to my health! Yesterday I was told I needed to make 2 different appointments-one for a screening and one for PT and I made them both and I go to one tomorrow and one next Friday!

I also got to babysit my granddaughter 2 evenings this week so that is definitely a whooohooo!!!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

HI Everyone! I am back from our cruise. The trip was good but reinforced that I am not a cruiser. This was for our 20 year anniversary and a test to see if the patch would work for me. Well the first 3 days were great and the only side effect was dry mouth. Then it went down hill and I got blurred vision, twitching and acting a bit drunk without drinking. I have been on land since Monday morning and I still have the blurred vision and now dizzy as well. I still feel like I am on the boat rocking too. It was still a great trip to relax despite this. This just confirmed that I need to stay on land instead of on water.

I am woohoo my 20 year anniversary today. Also that I have lost like 10 pounds since the end of August. First from being sick and then eating good and walking a lot on vacation. We walked over 20,000 steps on October 1 in New York. We were also over 10,000 each day until the sea sickness got to me and I stayed in bed. There also really was not any food to snack on on this boat. The food was not great either.

Wrote this but didn't post it yesterday, so this is Tuesday Topic:

I'm getting better at the routine yearly stuff now that I have a western style doctor/practitioner, instead of a naturopath. She's associated with the hospital so has all their infrastructure behind her, as in I'm currently overdue for a colon exam and a mammogram and they've called several times to get me booked. And the hospital is just down the street, something I'm going to miss when I move.

Filled my belly with protein and veg for dinner last night and managed to stay awake until 8pm then sleep well thru the night, so I should be getting back on track. I hope.

I just re-booked my March WDW trip and saved $600 since the discount deal came out while I was away. Plus, I still have enough miles for another free airfare, so I went all bougie and booked myself preferred seats.

Woohoo... I did food prep yesterday, putting together three jars of overnight oats. Who am I?

Kind of a sad woohoo... I was planning on going to the fancy pumpkin patch Saturday but there aren't ferry reservations available for either Saturday or Sunday. So, sad for not going but it opens up the day for other things and woohoo for that.

I'm pretty much over the jet lag time wise, but don't feel great due to the stress of being on planes for 20 hours. I have Pilates tonight and will only be at about 50%, but my body needs to move, so hopefully that will help to getting me to feel better.

Happy Anniversary!!! Your experience confirms what I suspect about myself-I would not be a good cruiser! I’m glad you back on land and hopefully getting better!!

Good for you meal prepping!!!! Hopefully by the weekend you are feeling 100%

My WooHoo is that I have meals planned out for the rest of the week. I'm not good at meal planning, but I always try. This week I've done it! I hope to keep it up, it makes my evening so much more relaxed!
Yes I agree it’s so much more relaxing!!! I actually built leftover days for Wednesday and Thursday into my meal planning and I soooooo look forward to those 2 days of no cooking!!!

I know it’s Thabkful Thursday but I just realized it’s my only month to use Halloween memes LOL! So fully expected the rest of my week hosting to be festive!!

What are you thankful for today!?

I am thankful for the long weekend coming up! I have Monday off and I am very much looking forward to it! Thankful that I get paid holidays and work a compressed work schedule as well!!

Make this a great Thursday!

Tuesday - I'm usually pretty good, but my regular doctor just left, and the new one I've been assigned to in the practice is a little booked up, so my next appointment got pushed about a month.

WooHoo & Thankful - that my family in Florida has checked in and is OK 🌴🌧️

Thankful that Pilates yesterday helped to open up my hips a bit, which have been locked in the sitting position due to so much, well, sitting.

Thankful that the cloud cover has burned off because I'm planning on heading down to the beach after work for a nice long walk.

Thankful it’s Thursday and a long weekend this week has been nutty so kind of slacking checking on things at night on the boards.
Thankful for flexibility at work the boys orthodontist appointments are piling up so very happy I can cut out and go to those without having to take a half day.

I am thankfully that we caught DD's ear infections before she ruptured her ear drum. Wednesday night was rough. DD ended up with intense ear pain. I called the nurse line to see what I could do to help with the pain but they told us to go to the ER because she couldn't hear out of her ear. The ER doc made it sound like it was a really bad ear infection and not far from rupturing. They gave her a dose of the antibiotic in the ER as well as Tylenol with Codeine because she was in so much pain. Thankfully she is already doing much better and Advil is finally helping with the pain.

I had a rough day at work and ended up only working a half day. I think being so tired (I got about 4 hours of sleep) was enhancing the side effects I am still having from the patch. I did talk to my doctor about this and she said it is withdraw symptoms and they should go away in a few days. They are getting better but just taking it's sweet time.

After work I did drag myself down to the beach for a walk. I don't remember re-entry after Morrocco being this challenging, but I still feel pretty crappy. I also remembered to go out and look for the Northern Lights later in the evening. I got some pretty good pictures from the beach, which was full of other people and a fun community thing, but also got a couple nice ones right at the house.

I have a chiro appointment this afternoon, which should help me at least stand fully upright. Tomorrow I'll run errands including getting a new phone. I had battery issues while on vacation and had to have it plugged in to the battery pack every day... getting the battery replaced is about $90, but sales of the new iPhone 16 have been so slow carriers are literally giving them away with a good trade-in, so new phone it is.

Other than that, it is going to be serious housekeeping and yard clean up. The weather should be pretty nice so working outside will be a pleasure.

We made it to the weekend!!! Hopefully a long one for some of us!!

@piglet1979 That is so so scary about DD! I am so sorry that happened!! So glad she’s feeling better and I hope you are soon!

@ShannyMcB and @Oneanne the northern light pictures are gorgeous!!! We saw them here too!!

What’s everyone’s weekend plans?

I am babysitting today and managed to get the playroom/spare room rearranged while my niece was playing and got some things moved into the closet to give more play/floor space!

We went to my sister in laws and played at the park with my other 3 nieces and nephews which was great! Such nice weather here it’s hard to believe!

Tomorrow we will walk dogs, church Sunday and Monday I plan to catch up with house stuff and yard stuff!!

Have a great Friday everyone!!

Not much on the calendar this weekend. Next few are busy so kind of glad this one is quiet. DS12 is singing with his chorus at the obeying game tonight so DH is going to that while I hang out with the littles. My boss let us cut out a couple hours early today so I went through DD’s clothes and pulled out small stuff and re-organized with hand me downs from my niece. Not exactly fun but I feel accomplished. All the shirts we got her from our first wdw trip are too small so will need to re-stock next time we go.
Did some Christmas shopping over the last few days including the Christmas ornament I make every year for my in-laws of the 4 kids. Worked with my BIL for a laugh the front of the ornament is all sweet pics of the kids from our respective vacas but when you turn the ornament over it’s pics of them all looking terrified in ride photos. It’s so stupid but it makes me giddy thinking about it. Have to try to package it in such a way they don’t notice the B side right away ha.
