Whos Who
Me Cath, 32
DH Tony, 34
DS1 Anthony 4 years, 10 months
DS2 Christopher, 3 years 11 months
We shared a villa with the McCusker Family - Ann Marie, my cousin, Her DH Michael, and their kids John, Michael and Gerard, ages 11, 9 and 6
Today on the itinerary we had Islands of Adventure, but we opted for Disney MGM Studios instead cant remember now why we changed !!!
Anyway, we were up early and had breakfast in the villa. We got to the Studios for around 9.30 and after getting our double stroller - headed straight for ToT, we picked up FPs for the first Millionaire show of the day at 10.30 from a CM. The ToT stand-by time was showing as 13 minutes it turned out to be about 60 minutes not very pleasant for me who was waiting with DS1 and DS2 for the rest of the gang to come out. So by the time they came out we missed our FP for Millionaire.
The two families separated for the day, and we went off to let the boys try Star Tours. We got FPs to return about an hour later, so we went off on a wander. We met Kermit and Miss Piggy, then we met Jessie the queue for Buzz and Woody was way too long, although the boys were not all that bothered. This was a first for us as we had never met Jessie before so we got some nice pics. We then had some of our picnic lunch nothing too fancy, just some sandwiches, drinks and Pringles and cookies.
The time for Star Tours came round between 12 and 1 I think, so on we went. This was the first ride the boys had to be measure for 40 and they both make it!!!! I am not a big fan of this it is so bumpy, and we got thrown around a lot, but the kids seemed to enjoy it, especially DS2, who is game for anything. He was asking to go on ToT, and he would have made the height req, but I didnt him too I think it would be way too intense for his age!!
Wow it was hot today .the kids were getting a bit grumpy and so were we, so we decided to call it a day. I know we didnt do much, but before we went on holiday we decided to go at the kids pace. So we headed out.
When we got back to the car the temp display was 105 degrees when we switched on the engine!!!!We headed back to the villa, and the pool!!!
Afterwards we went to our sons favourite shop Target (like the Big W) on the 192. They bought Power Rangers - new ones not out yet in the UK! So they were pleased.
Then we went to Friendlys for dinner. Friendlys is one of our fav places to eat. Great value for money and great kids meals. I always have the same thing chicken basket meal with honey mustard sauce. YUM
Got home and discussed the plans for tomorrow decided on IOA instead of MK since we had done so much at MK on Sunday.
So, the itinerary we had spent 6 months preparing could now be flushed down the toilet !!! But hey, its the planning that keeps you sane for the months waiting to go!!!!
