Catholic church in Nassau

Does anyone know if there is a Catholic church within walking distance of the port in Nassau? We will be there on a Sunday and would like to attend Mass. Thanks.

Yes, St. Francis Xavier Cathedral is within walking distance to the ship. Very close to downtown Nassau. Have been there several times and always walked from town....it's safe to walk as well. Nice church and a new church was built there a few years back next to the original.

Not to resurrect an old thread or anything but...

Can anyone speak to the walk between the pier and the Cathedral? I worry about the safety of it. We aren't big fans of Nassau, and we've only ever been around the immediate area around the cruise ship pier. I worry about getting further and further into Nassau.

It's a quick walk and very safe, I believe a comment above also said the same thing
