Hi all! Thinking of going on the 7 day Eastern Cruise in 05, and have a question regarding using DVC points. DVC'ers can only book 11 mos out, what are the chances of getting a cat 6 that SLEEPS 4?? How do you know which cat 6 rooms sleep 3 or 4? The brochure does not show it, so I was wanting to know how many cat 6 rooms that sleep 4 will be left 11 mos out- that is my question? We are going in early June. I know it is early, just getting my ducks,er, points in a row! LOL.
Thanks all!

We booked our July cruise with points at the 11 month window. We got a category 6 that sleeps 4 with no problem. We had our pick of rooms. DVC was very nice and accomodating on the phone. They will give you a room # that will sleep 4 if that is the number you need. I would have a map of the ship handy (as well as room suggestions from Dave's Tribute Site) so when they give you the number you can say yes or no. I would think that June would be easier to get as the East coast schools are still opened so the crowds would be a little less. Don't sweat, you'll get one.

Thanks for the answer. I feel a lot better now. Will just wait and see what the points are for 2005, hopefully not TOO high for cat 6!

Thanks, I have 2 years to read all about the cruise on the DIS boards!!

We cruised in May using DVC points for us and cash for the kids. Using the 11 month window we had NO problem getting a cat 6 that slept 4, midship (hoping to not feel as much rocking)

On this May's cruise we rebooked onboard (cash) for next May...also no problem getting cat 6, sleeps 4. :)

We also booked using DVC points and cash 11 months out for our New Years cruise. We booked a cat 10, but we still had a choice of rooms. This is also a cruise that they always sell out far in advance, so I wouldn't sweat it for your June cruise. Enjoy planning, b/c that's half the fun!

We used points for a cat 6 room for our Feb. cruise and we had NO problem getting one and they gave us a number of them to pick from. I hope you have as much fun planning yours as I am planning ours!!! Joni :bounce: :Pinkbounc
