Cat Yodelling anyone?

I know, I know, weird question........LOL

but I THINK people with cats will get it. When your cat throws up.....does he yodel?

I'm absolutely serious.....and I know vomiting isn't usually an entertaining subject but when it's a cat doing it, if the cat is a yodeller it's pretty dang funny!

No, but mine make a clicking sound when they see birds.. they also get the shivers when they see birds.

My cat is the silent vomiter. He walks up, stops for a second, walks away, and there's a pile of vomit where he once was standing.

I'm quite proud of him actually.

This is what prompted me to ask the question.....our cat has been gone many years but we're sorting through our old videos so we can transfer them to DVD's. We came across the vomiting vid and have been giggling about it ever since! Fun memory......

And to the rest of you.....

Cats are so fun. Fun when they yodel, fun when you stick tape on 'em, fun when they play fetch like a dog. I miss having a cat.

OMG, one of mine does that and it is so funny. He also does it when he sees a squirrel

That same one makes some kind of funny noise before he pukes, but I can't say it is yodeling.

I've got one you can have, and no I am not kidding, she is driving me insane. She is probably (I say probably because she is adopted and that is what the vet says) 15 years old and she is NUTS. She runs through the house and slides across the floor, then gets up and runs back the way she came. She sits on the edge of furniture, magazine rack, baby gate, you name it, she sits like a perched bird, then falls asleep and falls off, gets back up and does it again. ALL DAY LONG I don't lknow what to do with her.

An old roomate of mine, she had one cat (out of the nine she was owned by) who would do this.

We used to joke that he was saying, "I'm the devil, I'm the devil, I'm the devil" before he yakked up a hairball. We at least just a chuckle before we cleaned up the mess with that one.

YES! OMG! I'm so glad to know my cat is not the only one! It is the freakiest sound I've ever heard. Now, he doesn't do it every time, and this cat throws up frequently, butwhen I do hear that sound I know for sure what's coming!

You have video? No. I don't think badly.

Splash is almost 20 & I keep saying I need to get more video before she dies. The other day I decided to give her some catnip. She has enough trouble walking straight these days as it is. She was falling down the stairs stoned.

cat #3 did that - the first time I heard it, it freaked me out!!!!!! I had never heard anything like it!!!!!!

None of our other 4 cats ever did this.

I used to have a cat that was amazing to mess with. (mean I know) I would balance him on the top of doors, put socks over his head, and of course "chatter at the outside wildlife"

I now have 2 brothers and they really dont know how to be cats. They are a year old and all they do is cuddle and clean each other! Cute, but not too adventurous.

Only one of them ever has vomiting and hes pretty self conscious. He tries to cough it up...I look at him...he turns his back on me...repeat.

Ours does, sorta. It's like a weird coughing/choking sound. I wouldn't call it yodeling, but it's odd.

We always know what's coming when we hear that noise.

haha...speaking of tongues my cat actually got his tongue stuck in his collar once. Im gald he wasnt getting ready to vomit or hed probably have chocked.

My cat used to do that too! I always knew that he was going to vomit when I heard him yodel. Sadly he's not with us anymore.
