Best place to watch July 4th fireworks at MK outside the park?

We are going to stay on property for a long weekend but will not be going to the parks. That being said where is the best spot to view the MK fireworks on July 4th (or 3rd) outside of the park? Poly? Or possibly the dock to MK? Thanks in advance for your tips!

I like standing by the main boat dock in front of Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks. That said, last year on the Fourth I watched them from the roadway that goes near the Conference Center end of the Contemporary. There was a crowd gathered there. Just remember wrist bands will be distributed at the monorail resorts to allow guests staying at those resorts access to the restricted areas (Poly Beach, walkway from TTC to Poly (when you hit Poly property)).

TTC is best, if not only option. Both Grand and POLY will their beach area roped off so the resort guest have prime access.
You 'might' be able to stand at new walk way from Grand to MK.

Good to know! We are staying at Port Orleans so looks like TTC may be the best bet.

thank you! Would have not known that. What if we booked Ohana's around that time? Do they play the fireworks music inside the restaurant?

You could book O'hana but in all likelihood, won't be seated near a window and those who are aren't going anywhere until after the fireworks. There is no way to guarantee a widow table, even if you request it, it may not happen (you and every other party will want a window table). I am not sure I would book dinner there hoping to see fireworks. Also, you still would not be allowed onto the beach area, even if dining at O'hana. The dock at the TTC is most likely your best bet or you could stand outside the MK.

I don’t need to watch the whole thing but would like to see some of it, may do Ohanas early and then head to TTC to watch ✨

The new Wailulu restaurant at the tower is an option too. They don't take reservations so you'd maybe want to show up early to gauge how busy it is and get on the waitlist. You can see fireworks from there too.

I won't be surprised if the Wailulu is restricted to wristband-wearing Poly guests just like the beach will be on July 4. Maybe it won't be, but I'd really have a Plan B in mind.

I agree with this. You'll have pretty much the same view as from the Poly beach, and they pipe in the music. The best part is that if you have your own car and park at the TTC, you can be on the parking tram on your way back to your car before the hordes begin exiting the monorail after the fireworks are over. Conversely, if you're using the PO bus, well, by the time you take the ferry or the monorail over, you'll be in long lines at the MK bus stop, unfortunately. However, Uber and Lyft pick up right there at the TTC, so maybe that would be a great night to rideshare back!
