Well, since it's been a week I finally called the vet about Noel's limp. Poor little thing had to go at the worst time ever. Dogs everywhere as soon as we walked in. Then waiting in the room for the vet to come in there were so many loud noises, she hid behind me, hunched in the corner, hid in her carrier, hid behind me, etc....She shook uncontrollably. :( The vet says she seems to have swelling in her leg, and he thinks she probably has an infection. We'll give her antibiotics for the next couple of days and see if she does better. If she isn't improving by Wednesday, then we have to do an X-ray. :( Poor little baby! She's just taking it easy now. I think it's bothering her much more now since the vet had to feel around in there and everything. She walks a little bit and then lies down. I think she's trying to stay off the leg.

Need some pixie dust for Noey,

Awww she's so cute! She's in my thoughts.

poor kitty! Gee, when you can tell a cat is feeling poorly, she's
really down and out. have you tried light massage to loosen
things up? What sign of infection was there besides the limp?
suprised they didn't xray to rule out injury right away.
give her a cat treat for me and I hope she feels better soon.

The reason they didn't x-ray right away is because the doctor does not believe it's serious. He's pretty sure she has an infection by the way I described her activity, her elevated temperature, and the swelling in her leg. He brought her leg way back, and she wasn't having a severe reaction, so I don't think it's serious either. He said if we wait the 48 hours, we haven't lost anything, and she'll be okay.

Good luck, I hope it helps. I hate it when our furbabies are hurting.

I am not a vet but used to work at one. It sounds like an abscess. The antibiotics should help but keep an eye out for any oozing from that area.

It is so sad when they hurt. Good luck and PD on the way.

Hoping she feels better real soon, #1. Good to hear she is on meds, should be good in no time. My best.
