Cat lady on Dr. Phil!!!

196 cats, OMG!!!!! How sad for those cats. Wow! I can't imagine! We have 3 and they are a hand full!

She must have like a million litter boxes. 196 cats is a full time job.

I bet her house stinks!

What did Dr. Phil tell her.. that she is crazy as a bedbug and to get rid of about 190 of them?

lol ... I just saw the preview.

The thing that really amused me about the preview is that they showed a scene of Dr. Phil proclaiming sternly "Don't you realize this is illegal?"

:lmao: as if the illegality of having 106 cats is really THE BIG issue here ...

The lady was in complete denial. She said she was rescuing them. They were happy and she doesn't have a problem even though she sees nobody but the cats. Her own family has only seen her once in about 10 years. She was mad because her neighbor placed a complaint about her. Uh yeah- have your 200 cats pooping and peeing all over my property and yours and I will be calling the town. She clearly has a sickness. It's sad.

Wow! Can't wait to watch, I've got in recording on TiVo right now so I don't have to watch commercials. ;)

We have five and people call us crazy!

Anyone who has that many cats is a collector. They are endangering those animals because there is no way one person can care for them and make sure they all get proper vet care.

It's actually a mental illness and usually part of OCD. She needs psychiatric treatment and medication.

Unfortunately when ACS comes in and removes them all, they will most likely be euthanized.

I bet she's a DISer. How many posts before someone starts defending her as a cat lover whose heart is in the right place?

We have 11 and sometimes I look around here (like when there are five on one couch) and wonder what in the heck I'm thinking. We have eight litter boxes that are scooped daily and washed weekly, I can't even imagine what 196 cats can produce with their butts. :scared1:

She probably has a good reason for having that many cats. Who are we to judge since we don't know the whole story? :rolleyes1 ;)

The neighbors aer on! And the sister is in the audience.

Then the sister says the cats come first, the cat lady agrees, and says, "but I am a homebody anyway" (so she doesn't care if she missed family functions! Eeeeewwwww! :crazy2:

It won't be me and, yes, I'm the one with 16. It's a full time job. I spend at least a third of my day doing cat related jobs. You never get a day off. The day I got home from the hospital, after having my gallbladder out, I was cleaning litter boxes that night. There is no way these 196 animals can be getting any type of proper care.

If I had it to do over again would I have 16 cats? I'm not sure. It did seem like the right thing to do at the time though and, as a long time cat owner, at least I went into it with my eyes open. I take comfort in the fact that all but the two we bought would have been long dead if I hadn't opened my home and my heart to them. And while they are a lot of work, they do bring great joy. :)
