My family and I are planning a 4-day cruise for Feb 05, and my mom has a question. We have booked a cat 6, and she would like to know if it is better to be on deck 5 or 6 any why?

TIA

According to the Passporter guide to DCL, the deck 6 rooms for cat. 6 have slightly wider verandahs. Otherwise no difference.

only difference is the price. cat 6 and cat 5 are the same.

Deck 6 you can have midship cabins, Deck 5 those are areas of clubs, etc. Deck 5 the room would be foreward or aft. I would go with Deck 6 all things being equal - midship

I wound up getting lost on Deck 5 one day! LOL! I was foward near the cabins and couldn't figure out how to get to the clubs area. I wound up going up to 6, walking to mid ship and down the stairs there to the Lab!
