Jan2 for a 3 night cruise there is a about a 250.00 differ in a 5 to a 7. What are the real differences between the two? Is a navigators verondah any differ than a regular one?? Thank you for all your help in advance.

We have had both a cat. 5 and a cat.6 cabin and are going to have a cat.6 again in Dec. there was absolutely no difference between the two other than one was on deck six and the other on deck 5. (and that the six cost less than the five) We spend alot of time on our veranda and love it (especially at days at sea) but quite a few people say the navigator verandas are very nice. They have a large open porthole instead of being a complete open balcony. But they are still a "deck" off of your room. One plus for the navigators is the bench I have heard alot about, the chairs on the regular veranda are not too comfy-that said we still could not go without our veranda again. If I couldn't swing the regular then I'd go with the navigators! Ann

Thanks Ann. We have decided to go with a six , I think. Our next problem is to decide whether to go for a 3 or 4 night. It is our first cruise and we will be going to WDW for 3 nights also. Thanks again.

7 is a Navigators verandah...rather than try to explain the difference (more enclosed, non-movable furniture), I suggest that you check out the photos on my website at www.castawayclub.com
As for 5 and 6, they are identical. Only difference is that 6 is on deck 7, which 5 is on decks 6 and 5. Personally, I like being as close to the water as possible, so I like Cat. 6 on Deck 5 best.

Our first disney cruise we did the four days in disney and the three on the ship. Our son had never been so this worked out well as you could rest up from doing the parks on the ship. Our last cruise was a seven day (eastern) and we are doing another seven day this Dec. (western) My advice would be to do more time in the parks if you have never been or if you have not seen alot as three days is not much time in the parks. We are devoting another vacation for just the parks as we love cruising so much we don't want them to compete!:) Either way you will have a great time, I just think it is nicer to relax after the parks (we were going for 12 hours a day) than prior to them, it is also a nice way to wind down your vacation as at least for us the parks were so hectic. Thank you so much for the great link...I know now that I do not want a 7 . A Cat. 6 will suit our family much better. I appreciate you guys help so much.

And I am just the opposite. We (DH, Mom & I) stayed in a Cat 6 last Oct. It was great!... but, we checked out a Cat 7 on our way off the ship and said THAT'S for us this coming Sept. The view was just as great and because of the oval instead of open, you actually feel a little secluded. Nice! especially for Mom. She's the smoker, reader, morning coffee person who really got the most use out of the verandah while DH & I were still sleeping. The room (as previously stated) was identical and we'll save some money! Cat 7 will be the way for us in the future!

DH is a smoker and thats the main reason we need one any way. My 5yo DD doesn't know so he has to go out early and late. Thanks for the pro's and con's of each.
