I am booked to stay at GF Concierge in the main building in September - 26th-29th. What are the chances of getting a view of the castle? We've requested non-smoking as that is important to us, so haven't asked for anything else, but if we got a castle view that would be a bonus.

There are incredible castle view rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor. I believe the room numbers run from 4x01-4x10 with x being the floor number. We were in room 4404 and could watch the castle changing colors from our beds. The only drawback is that these rooms are the furthest walk from the concierge area and main elevator. It was almost like being in our own wing and we had very little hallway noise. There is a service elevator very close to these rooms. It brings you out right next to Gasparilla's grill.

The next time you speak to your pre-planner, just have them notate it on your reservation. I will say that all the views in the main building are beautiful.

Here's a view from room 4404. As you can see, it looks straight down the Marina to the Castle.

We were in room 4302. It was a great view. I think they called it a "marina view" I did request a castle view, though, everytime I spoke to anybody that had anything to do with our trip!!

It was LOVELY!! It is my new favorite resort. I am dreaming of when I can return, but with a teenager it is hard to get the time!!!

Have a WONDERFUL stay!!

Definitely add the request to your reservation and also mention it to the concierge staff when you make your requests and priority seatings. I'm sure you'll get it. ;)

I requested a view of the castle once and didn't get it. However, when I asked about it at check-in, the CM said there was a castle view opening up in a couple nights and we could switch then if we wanted. So we did! It was great having the castle view to look forward to, almost like having two vacations in one because we were on different sides of the resort for parts of it. Maybe if you don't get it you can still ask if any are opening up during the stay you are staying there. :cloud9:

We stayed in the room pictured (I think, or maybe one over) for NYE 2002/2003 and it wasa great view. My mom was in the same room but on the 1st floor, but I liked our view better. Last May we were in Conch Key and the view was even better cause we were closer to the water/castle. We had a 2 bedroom suite (Cypress I think) and then another lagoon view room 2 doors down from the suite and both had great castle views. We also had rooms on both sides of the hall (adjacent to the suite) and you could see the castle from them too if you looked to the side.

Using the zoom lens/binnoculars from the same room (look close and you can see Tinkerbelle's wire)...

Definitely one of the best pictures I've seen! The monorail, the castle, the blue sky - does it get any better?
