I read somewhere that Cinderella's castle is going to be under wraps for part of January while they clean it up, but I can't find any confirmation of this anywhere official? Anyone know what's going on? I will be there 1/15-18 with my cousin for her first visit and want to know if she is even going to get to see the castle!

I also heard this. I heard that it is going down for quite some time for a new paint job or something as well.

EDIT: Link found

Cinderella Castle will be having a refurbishment in early 2010 on the front section (similar to the recent refurbishment of the back). The moat will be drained, and around Janurary 12 2010 a construction wall scrim will go up. At the same time as the refurbishment, the Dream Lights will be removed. It is expected that the refurb will be complete in late March 2010. Link

Unfortunately, it looks as if it may be "down" for your trip. Looks like you will just have to go back again sometime soon!

Crapola! My brother, his wife, and their 6 year old daughter will be at WDW for the very first time, January 11th to the 16th. Now our little niece will not get to see the castle in all it's "glory". {double crapola!}:sad2:

Eh, it's not like they're putting a big pink birthday cake facade over it. They'll see most of it. They were doing some sort of upkeep on it when I was there once and the biggest annoyance was the crane they were using blocking the entrance to FL. I guess it was bit of an eyesore but the castle was still impressive.
