Ian:

There is a great write-up on the Princess Breakfasts at www.wdwig.com, under character meals. The Cinderella breakfast in the magic kingdom runs about $20 for adults, and about $10 for kids. It's the hardest PS to get. I recently sent the following to a friend who is taking her 3 dd's there for the first time, I believe I got it from the WDWIG web site:

Best Strategy for Getting PS for Cinderella's Royal Table Character Breakfast.
You MUST call exactly 60 days before the date you want to dine at the Castle
for breakfast. And, you MUST start calling a couple of minutes before WDW
Dining opens (7 AM, on all days including weekends and holidays. All times are
US EASTERN).
There are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling the Disney Reservation Center. Our office is closed...
(hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial
immediately).
OR
b) Thank you for calling the Disney reservation center (pause). You're in and
on hold! Wait! Do NOT hang up or you will lose any chance of a ressie!
Please note that as of April 4, 2002, there is no option to hit "1" as
previously described in a past FAQ. The only responses are in a) and b) above.
Simply wait to hear whether the recording says, "Our office is closed."
Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CRO rep and blurt out "I need
Cindy's, for June xx, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will
understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with
endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays
will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.
Use the 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) number to directly call WDW Dining so you don't
get caught in a transfer cue from CRO or Disney Club offices. This can amount
to up to a 12 second delay in getting to Dining. NEW! As of June 9, 2002,
Priority Seatings for Cinderella's Royal Table Character Breakfast will require
a credit card DEPOSIT (not guarantee) of $10 per adult and $5 per child at the
time of booking. Once the PS is made, NO CHANGES may be made to the name on the
booking. Priority Seatings may be cancelled for a refund of the deposit at
least 24 HOURS prior to the seating time.

There is now a Princess Breakfast at EPCOT. The WDWIG says the following about it:

Princess Storybook Breakfast- The family style character breakfast is served at
Restaurant Akershus in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot and features Disney
Princesses and Friends. Hours are: 8:30am to 10:30am Prices $19.99 for adults
and $9.99 for children (ages 3-11). "Princesses" who may appear include: Belle,
Jasmine, Snow White, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), and Mary Poppins.
Finally, look for other Disney heroines, such as Mulan, Esmeralda and
Pocahontas, to occasionally appear. Cinderella will not be among the characters
appearing at the Princess Storybook Breakfast -- she will appear exclusively at
the Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast held each morning in the Castle in the
Magic Kingdom. Don't look for Ariel either.

Best of Luck!

When I called this week to get our PS for CRT there was the option to press 1. Do it. My mom was calling from VA at the same time I was calling from TN. I started calling about 5 min. to 7 according to our local news time. Can't do the atomic clock and be on the phone at the same. Anyway, I was able to get an 8:10 seating. As I said, mom was calling at same time. They were sold out when she got on the line. Hope this helps.

We also called from mutiple phones to get the CRT PS--we used the cellphone, the regular phone and my SIL called from her phone. It took us 3 days to get through-my suggestion is not to try for just one specific day. Try to get a PS for each day you are thinking about going-you can always cancel the ones you don't need.
