Castle lighting & Dessert party timing

Our reservation for the dessert party on a non MVMCP night is at 8:05...will we be able to enter any before 8 or do doors open right at 8? Will we have a good view of the castle lighting from that area? Thanks!

The castle lighting takes place long before that. It's at 6:15 and I think there is a second lighting at 7 something on MVMCP nights.

The Castle Lightings on non-party nights are at 6:15 and 7:30. You won't be at the Dessert party at those times. On Party nights, the 2nd lighting is at 8:00.
