Does anyone know if the 'Castle' will return to its former glory after 'the Happiest Celebration' or will the gold trmmings remain??? :confused3

I'm guessing it'll go.... but who knows?

I remember when the castle was a big cake... man, that did not do the castle any good. :rotfl2: I'm glad the cake went away......

They'll be gone at the end of the year. I'm so bummed b/c I actually liked them and wanted the gold in my wedding pics...oh well

Who told you that, and why do you think they "KNOW" for sure?

There's lots of information told, even by CM's, that is "not exactly true."

;)

My Disney Fairy Tale Weddings wedding planner told me that. Our wedding is in January and I asked if we would have the gold in our castle photo shoot. She said no.

I'd say she knows what she's talking about, considering they have to warn Disney Brides about that sort of thing when they're paying nearly $900 for a few photos

This does not change my answer.

I'm not saying the deco's WILL or WON'T stay.
I'm saying that the info CHANGES (without notice) very quickly at WDW.

CM's "say" all kinds of things. They may not intend to mislead, but they are not the final authority.

I hope you get the "Gold" in your photos!!

I thought of something else, too.

It took them WEEKS to install all of the decorations on the castle.
There was a full-size construction crane that sat behind the castle during the day and was used every night to gradually attach all the additions.

So, considering that, I say it will take a goodly amount of time to take them DOWN (crane and all).

Even if they DO decide (and I do mean IF) to remove them... They will not ALL be removed for a considerable amount of time, once they start the process.

All this is to say that if you want "gold" in your wedding pix... you just MIGHT have some (if not ALL)!

We'll keep hoping the gold decos will stay.
