Castaway Club gifts & kids

Does anyone know if DCL will give a Castaway Club gift (beach towel) to a child if that is the only person in the room that is a member? Or must it be an adult member to get the gift?
My child is going with friends who have never been before. Will he get the gift?

Just a guess, but as long as the castaway club number is attached to the reservation there should be a gift in the room. Perhaps you can call your friends and give them the castaway club number to give to the travel agent.

I think he'll get the gift...we have two cabins booked in Oct and the DCL person I talked with mentioned two CC gifts and two invitations to the CC reception...and my DS is 14 and theoretically will be rooming with my mom, who is a first time DCL cruiser.

I also have a question about the castaway club gifts. From everything I read here on the boards I understand the gift is a towel. My question is does each person get one or is it one per stateroom? I know the above poster mentioned something about two. We have four. two adults and two 12 and under.

If you are all in the same room you get one towel per room......

Do they usually give gifts on the 3-day, we didn't get one last week?

My DS16 cruised on the Wonder when he was 12. Now we're going on the Magic this summer and I gave them his Castaway Cay number, so I'm hoping he will get the gift for this. He's the only one in our family who has cruised on Disney before.

Just arrived on the Wonder today (3 day also) and we had our towel and two pins waiting for us in our cabin. So don't know what happened with you. Might have been a mistake.
