Castaway Cay Cat (Health, sightings, etc.)

The cat's name is Casey???
A CM said his name was Scooby.

I've seen two kitties on CC. This one in 2008, who had no interest in being approached.

This one was in 2010.

I was wondering when a cat thread would be started. It nice to know they are okay.

Did a search and I wanted to unearth this thread with an updated picture! We were on Castaway Cay on december 10th and found Casey! She was laying in the sand right next to the pathway, greeting us as we headed to the family snorkel beach. I never knew there were cats on the island! I went up to her to see if she was friendly, let her sniff my hand and then she rubbed her head all over it and asked me to give her some chin scratches. She was very friendly and let some little girls pet her for quite a while.

Great to hear Casey is still "living the good life" and sunbathing all day on CC and she is healthy!

We got to see Casey when we were at CC on Dec 3rd. We spent a little time petting her and she seemed to enjoy it. I was so glad we got to see her Here is a picture of my son with Casey.

We encountered Casey on our 11/27-12/1 cruise. He was laying right by the path and quite accepting to all the attention we were lavishing on him. My daughter (adult) seemed to be his favorite and Casey was circling her, doing "head butts" against her hand, etc. He was also near there when we left late in the afternoon to head back to the ship.

We got a second day on Castaway Cay and Casey was nowhere to be found. I think his kitty-cat clock knew that people weren't supposed to be there that day, so he didn't bother to come down to greet us!

I'm so bummed. We were on CC on our 12/4 Dream cruise. I looked for Casey, but never saw him/her. I'm glad he/she is doing well though!

My DH just saw and petted him this past Friday (12/16/11). Casey is well and definitely soaking up the attention from all the guests!!
