What more could you want! He or She may have been dumped there, but CM's to look after you on a paradise island!

My guess is Castaway Cat has had several names bestowed on s/he by the thousands of guests who have visited over the years.

Maybe i'll sneak a can of Friskies on the island with me. I bet s/he would prefer beef or chicken over the seafood entrees.

Casey? Why isn't his/her name "Castaway" or even better "Cay" (how many little kids have we all heard called a "kitty" "key"??)

I vote for a name change.

I think it's endearing that the CM's named her and take care of her. Wasn't the train in Dumbo named Casey? What do I know, my cat only responds when I shake her snacks. Give her a name? phff. I actually believe my DD12 learned her dirty looks from my cat. Phff is all I get all day long from the both of them...anyhoo..

Probably bringing little bags of sealed cat snacks is ok, right? I imagine the cat gets a lot of table scraps!

I am her agent. There are magnets, key chains, t shirts, towels, stuffed Caseys toys and she will now have photo ops next to Cookies. Move over Jack Sparrow! I have to get together with a fellow DISer who came up with Catnip for Casey (there is a certain difficulty with customs and the use of baggies).

Good news, the Christmas ornaments are adorable. You get some CC sand in it ... which could or could not be....um, Casey's kitty litter. As some have mentioned, the island is her litter box. I see a bumper sticker here. TM by PizzieDuster.

I think my soon to be husband is going to get annoyed with me trying to find Casey. This is going to be a new game for the kiddo's. We'll do a where's Casey nature walk!

Maybe I'll create a facebook page when I have some time if noone gets to it first!

LOL, I never knew there was a cat either, until she literally walked right in front of me on August 20th. My dd was reading the sign that stated all the things you might encounter, rays, fish etc, and I said "does it say anything about cats" and she's like , so she turned around and there was the cat, sitting right in front of me.

Serious question: are there any other land critters on CC? If not, Kitty's need for vaccinations is greatly reduced. And if s/he's the only cat, neutering/spaying not an issue either, except that they're generally more chill if they're fixed.

I've seen various Castaway Cay cats over the years, and they do seem to eat well. I offered one some of my hamburger from Cookies once, and it snubbed me for a fellow diner who was offering a piece of lobster burger (remember those?).

Too funny! If it were our oldest cat, she would have happily taken your regular burger over the seafood! She turns her nose up to it, unless it's the only thing offered.

I didn't know there was another cat(s) on CC. When I was there on Aug. 14, 2011 and happen to see the black cat (Casey), I asked a CM that was close to Casey and he said Casey was the only cat on CC. Glad to hear Casey might have some cat friends on CC
