Cast Member's opinion

What kinds of questions? If I exchange through RCI, (like I did), I don't get a chance to ask questions from cast members at booking. If I've never stayed at a particular resort, why is it NOT ok to call and ask questions? I thought that's what y'all were there for...In fact, I don't think it's very professional for you to ask that we NOT ask questions. Just my 2 cents, though. I'd expect a cast member to be more understanding.

I wonder if this has to do with commissions? I don't believe that Disney would ever discourage guests from booking online (particularly as they seem to be constantly streamlining the process) or from calling with questions after doing so. In fact, many questions present the CM with an opportunity to upsell. However, if the CM's are paid commission, I can see that they wouldn't want to spend time answering questions about an existing reservation when they could theoretically be making a new one. Of course, answering questions is obviously within the scope of their job and they should expect to do so in a professional manner.

I had to call earlier today to upgrade our free dining reservation, and the CM made a comment about my having booked online. At the time I thought it was unusual because I never had someone comment on that in all our trips. Now having seen this, I wonder if the root of it is commission.

I regret putting this up, it's not commission. It was more about being fired from here. Please disregard my post

Like I told the other guest. I regret putting that up, I have no problem answering questions.

Well I can definetly see why you were fired with an attitude like you had in your original post. That's not the kind of personality I'd expect to work at Disney.:sad2:

I have a great attitude when I'm there and have no problem answering questions. That's the problem, I still work there btw. I'm gOint to get fired because I care more about the guest instead Of the money. So I don't appreciate your rudeness. I was in the heat of a moment and I have apologized.

You don't appreciate MY rudeness? Do you *remember* what your original post said? You were asking that people NOT call and ask questions if they didn't bother to book by calling, as they could have asked any questions at that time. I don't think that's something that the Disney company appreciates knowing, that their CM's are telling people "no, don't ask me, you had your chance" type of thing. So don't say that you don't have a problem answering questions, as that was clearly the intent of your original post.

No, you haven't apologized, nor do I expect you to. To me, anyway. I'm sure whatever upset you, you just wanted an outlet for it. I'm sure you have CM friends on your FB and didn't want to vent there out of fear that you would be reported. However, to vent TO the people who you're supposedly NOT mad at and just trying to help was a pretty bad idea, huh? I know you changed your original post so that more people wouldn't see it. But now it seems you're changing your story. First, don't call, I don't want to help you after-the-fact. Now it's that you like helping, but somehow you're going to get fired because you care too much. And where does money come into that? You don't have to respond to me, I just want you to know that I'm sorry you're having a hard time. We all have bad days. But please think about your audience. The people on this board (and, obvisouly I) will passionately defend the Disney company and most of us have never heard a CM tell Disney patrons to not ask questions.
