Cashless - Walletless Possible?

Depending on the phone, there is that case that you can slip a card or two into it and prob some cash.

I would take an ID regardless if you are going to get an adult beverage or not. If there is a problem, that's what they check. I like to wear jeans or jean shorts, something with a pocket. Or, you can get a lanyard with a pocket. :)

I personally always have some cash/credit card/ID with me since you never know when the system will go down. I also alway carry around insurance cards. A few years back my mom had to be taken to the hospital during our stay and I can't imagine having to delay taking her just to run back to the room to get info.

Just me but I would rather spend 5-10 minutes in a line to check my bag or take a small wallet then risk not having ID/info on had with me.

On our first trip (several years ago), we made the mistake of going to Epcot on our first day without cash. We were shocked at how many kiosks we were shut out of.

Since then, we won't make that mistake again. Now, I'm not at all certain that things haven't changed since then. I just know - better safe than sorry!

As an AP I still carry the ticket for discounts (and to get in if mb fails), my id to go with my AP, and my TIW card for dining discounts. So, no mbs don't replace everything.

What if your magic band has a glitch, the first thing they will ask for is ID.

What if the system goes down and they can't process room charges through the band? You have no cash or credit card for backup.

What if you were injured or sick and had to go to the hospital, where are your insurance cards?

I only carried an ID last year and my Key to the World card. I plan on the same this year except with my magic band.

1.) Always carry your ID no matter where you go, I even carry it when I run and its the only thing I carry

2.) If the system goes down sucks to be that restaurant they can either call the front desk or take down my name and room and put it through later (not my issue its Disney's)

3.) If I were injured and it was serious they would have to help you its required by law and if you were conscious enough you can say you have insurance and they will figure it out later. Finally my insurance card can be looked up online or i have an app on my phone as well. Again if its soooo bad you can't go back to your room they are required by law to treat you and worry about payment later.

I use a lanyard or just put the cards in zippered pockets (in a jacket or pants). I bring my ID, one credit card, and my insurance cards. I've never needed cash in the parks...I don't even carry cash with me at home.

Thanks guys. You all have given me something to think about. Now I get to go shop for a device to hold a couple cards and a little cash without lugging my whole wallet. You guys are awesome.

My husband and I each have a SpiBelt and they work great for carrying cards and/or cell phones. They are unnoticeable when around your waist and under your shirt, so you can walk right past the bag check.

These are great. I've been eyeing them at the sports store for when I'm out with the dog, or running 5Ks etc. always want to take my phone and ID but pockets don't work. I LOVE their selection on the site you posted though!

I use a passport holder with lanyard. Sometimes I wear it around my neck, but usually it is in my pocket. If you are putting in in your pocket you, for extra security, you can loop the cord around belt buckles if you have them, or loop the cord through a pin inside your pocket.
Mine is lightweight cloth with an extra pocket with zipper.

we always leave our CCs and insurance cards in the safe at the hotel and never had a problem with charging to room with the KTTW. we were part of the MB pilot in September, and didn't have any charging problems, but i understand they could be glitchy. during the pilot, we had out MB, IDs and also carried our APs & DVC membership card. i expect that we will continue to leave CCs and insurance in the safe and only carry MB, ID and DVC card. I expect if there was some technical problem with the MB at a table service they could call the resort and verify charging privileges. If we got stuck at a kiosk or CS, I think we would manage. I also have my insurance info saved on my phone.

That won't work. There has to be a photo for the CM to see.

They could take a headshot photo at resort check in (for those staying onsite), verify ID, and attach the photo and age to the magic band. That way they could allow scanning the band when purchasing alcohol to count for ID verification.

Only thing we weren't able to use MB for last trip was balloons, which required cash. I did have a check card with me so had to find an ATM to get some cash, which I never have on me disney or not

I use a wallet phone case for my iphone. Has a few slots for cards and holds everything I need. Ticket, ID, credit card, and whatever else I might need. It's handy, stays in my pocket, and I bring my phone everywhere, so it's convenient to have my cards in there. You could even tuck some cash in the slots if wanted.

I would always carry ID with me, probably along with extra cash and my health insurance cards.
