Can't find an answer so I'll ask here - if you do a cash reservation...do you get special consideration at your home resort(s) i.e. - 11 months or earlier? TIA :surfweb:

No. All members are equal for cash reservations through MS. There usually isn't much availability for cash 11 months prior, though.

We were able to book with MS at 8 months out for BLT studio on cash, which was combined with a point reservation. I was glad to know also that this cash reservation could be linked to the "point" reservations, to avoid any moves, etc.

The only "hiccup" was in the DDP. Even though the reservations were all linked and the DDP paid for totally upon checkin. At least two restaurants, the room card (with DDP) was declined as the system indicated that my guests had already checked out and in one restaurant, they actually had to pay cash-- later to be reimbursed on their room charges.

They really need to work on smoothing out that procedure involving dining on linked reservations. I had the same trouble when attempting to make 180 day dining reservations recently involving "linked" reservations. The DDP system did not recognize linked reservations and was allowing dining reservations only on the FIRST room reservation.
