Is it just me or is it getting harder and a lot more expensive to rent at OKW for the weekends. A 2 bed lock off for May 2003
is now $560 +tax.I have tried several times over the last 3/4 months to get the member discount but failed each time.

I will just have to keep trying

They are usually not released until the 60 day breakage period mark. Also watch out for AP or Code rates, they are usually more than the member 25% off. Right now they are only available through mid February. May willn't come out until after the first of the year.

I'm planning the same thing for May - I have just enough points for Sunday to Friday but we have to arrive Saturday to get decent airfare. So if I can get a good deal on a 1 bedroom for Saturday I'll pay cash or stay somewhere else.

Could you tell me where to find the codes for a discount. We are going in January, I was able to get the 25% member discount, but if I can do better than that I will cancel and rebook.

Thanks!:D

One of the best places to find WDW room discounts (IMHO) is Mary Waring's MouseSavers web site. Here's a link to the section on WDW resorts:

http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html

I believe there are AP discounts (up to 40% discount) already out for January, 2003 and the first half of February, 2003. Not sure if there is availability for them at any of the DVC resorts. As far as I know, Disney hasn't released any other "codes" for that time. There may be some coming, though. Good luck!

In past years we have recieved the cash discount at the time of booking (sometimes 11 months out)It is now clear disney do not do this but it is getting very exspensive to stay on cash when you do not have enough points

I booked a two bedroom unit for January 2001 for cash..... (before we joined DVC) Booked first as cash $469 a night, then found a code on Mary's site for $389, then a couple of weeks after that got another code, again from Mary, for $289 a night... I beleive I booked the room (origanly) 4 months out.

For December 7th of this year I had to book a two bedroom for cash and no discounts were availible (but then again OKW was totally booked) Thank goodness our waitlist came through...

I guess my point is...... I would book the current rate now, and keep checking Mary's site for codes and keep calling back to chnage your ressie.....

Good luck!

Thanks for the link to mousesavers, I originally booked with my DVC discount and got a rate of $289 for a 1 bedroom. Using the AP code I got a rate of $239. That $50 towards my 39th Birthday dinner in Epcot (not sure where to go yet).

Just one more question, has anyone had any problems booking 1 night with CRO and the rest with points? Do we have to change rooms or do you usually get to stay in the same room?

Thanks again for your help, I love this board!!

We just did this for our december trip..... Just let CRO know your ressie number from DVC and then call MS and let them know you # from CRO.... they both will make notes and everything should be fine.

Ok, thanks for the info.

We will also be at OKW December 6-14th, this is our first time in a GV counting the days.

Hope you enjoy your upcoming trip!

Thanks for your help!
:p
