Cash reservations?

As a DVC member can we reserve rooms for cash only? Or does it have to be points and cash? We have used our Developer points at SSR for June and would like to bank our other points for a BIG trip home to AKV in 2010. Can we reserve a stay at HHI for the spring and pay cash? Is there a discount? Also, if we can book them, is there a limit to how far out you can reserve? Thanks.

Yes, cash reservations a DVC resorts may be made thru MS - based on availability. There is a 25% discount for DVC members - also based on availability.

Cash reservations may be made 11 months ahead, but cash nights (with or without the Member discount) are not always available. The first priority for MS is to make DVC reservations using points. When MS has a reasonable expectation - either from current reservation interest or from past reservation history - that a date won't likely be needed for point reservations, MS can release villas for discounted cash reservations. They also can release dates for regular cash reservations when dates have been made available to CRO for cash reservations.

Would the cash discount apply to DCL as well or just the resorts???
