Do you carry cash or charge on your Room Key? What do you find is easier to keep up with.

I can't seem to decide which would be better.:confused3

Thanks

No brainer; pay for everything with room key, pay it with credit card at end of trip, pay credit card in full when the bill comes and then bam, 1% cash rebate for everything you bought.

It all depends if your credit card is Canadain or American.

Mine will be a Canadain card. The charge you a 2.5% conversion fee to convert your purchase from US to Canadian! So in my case Cash is better!

I love the convenience of charging to the room. And since you get a receipt for each purchase, it's easy enough to keep track of your expenses and not go over budget. Then as the previous poster said - I pay it all off when the credit card bill comes in - I couldn't stand to pay all those interest charges that I hear credit card companies charge. I do take a few dollars in cash for the rare times when a kiosk doesn't take the room key as a charge. I think that only happened once. I even charged the Mickey Bars. Although those can add up quick as they can be addictive.

We always room charge...sooo much easier than cash...and I really like to have a written confirmation of what I spent.

I agree with pp's - We decided to use cash this trip (not wanting to go over our spending budget), but found the room charge so much easier to use and keep track of. Will definitely go back to room charge for our next trip and pay in cash at the end. HTH

I plan on mostly charging stuff to my card but I will have a little cash on me just in case there are a few carts for snacks and such that do not take the charge card (this is what I have read on here).

charge it back to our room.

Room key for just about everything. About the only thing I use cash for is for the popcorn/ice cream carts.

What places allow you to charge to your room? I'm interested in this. Only I think I might not realize how much I spend until the end then go OMG haha.

We will bring a couple hundred for small items and then charge everything else. For some reason I am scared to charge everything to my room and then pay for it at the end. We only have one credit card so what if something happens with it and the card doesn't work for some reason? I know that won't happen, but it is something I would be worried about. Im strange like that!

We plan on putting everything on the room key and paying with debit at the end :)

So can you pay with room card and then pay with cash at the end or is it only charged to a credit card...

What is the reasoning behind charging to the room key, as opposed to just charging directly to the credit card? Do you just want one less thing to carry in the park? Are there places that will charge to your room, but not directly on your credit card?

I'm the odd woman out I guess. I never charge to my room. I would have a heart attack upon checkout when they hand me the bill. It would spoil my vacation if I got handed a huge bill! I would find it way too easy to buy more if I couldn't "see" my spending until the end of the vacation.
I like to see each purchase on my cc statement. That way I remember what I bought.
