Casey's Buns

All summer I read about how the new buns were terrible. That they fall apart, that they're nasty, etc.

But on our trip last month, we ate at Casey's and many other places, and didn't notice any difference in the buns. They seemed the same to us.

Did they change them back?

I think the buns are still the whole grain, or wheat or whatever they were. DH & I noticed by looking at it, but the taste was the same to us, and we just made sure not to point it out to our DDs. They noticed no difference either. DH & I only noticed because we've been reading these boards for so long and read the comments on them.

So the kerfluffle was over something you wouldn't notice if it wasn't pointed out.

In September, three of us had Casey's hot dogs and all three of our rolls did fall apart. We weren't loading our hot dogs with lots of toppings or anything like that. The bread had "normal wear and tear" and fell apart anyway.

Taste-wise, the rolls were just fine. But they were not sturdy at all.

Did they change the hamburger buns too? I'll be at Disney in January and had a surgery. I was told to avoid whole wheat/grain for a while, so I've been going for plain white bread.

Are the hamburger buns whole wheat too?

From reports here, not only the hamburger buns at CS but also the pizza crusts have been changed to whole grain.

ITA with this. I wouldn't have noticed a difference if I hadn't been expecting it after reading so many terrible things on these boards.

I heard that too, but also did not notice a difference in the pizza crusts.

I suppose I can ask for it without the bun and eat with a knife and fork... darn, Disney, at least give me the less healthy choice! It's a choice!
