the photo was staged, the me or whoever took the pic faked evidence but ashton didn't take it further????

this guy is making up stuff i would have expected ashton not to let it go so quickly

I don't know...sometimes I think that just letting the statements stand...in this case Spitz's...says more than pursuing it.

A Dr. Drew commercial made me think of this...

has anyone explained to Baez and Co. that their job is to create reasonable doubt of the prosecution's case, not their own???

So it's not just us here with this negative opinion of Baez & Co?

i'm mixed on how today went - there was interesting testomony then some very strange testomony and massive speculation at the end which was entering some dangerous grounds when you accuse the ME of staging photos

Who is the woman who is always in front of the judge. I know she is not the court reporter..is she like a secretary or something?

Someone needs to tell her to smile or at least stop scowling all the time..she always looks like she just ate something really bitter.

That's exactly how I felt, Kurby. I didn't think there was a clear winner either way. I don't feel one side did better than the other.

Eta: not meant to be snarky--but these crazy accusations are simply unreasonable without proof given the conditions at that location for 6 months.

I have seen that clerk smile quite often. Maybe she was just having an off day. Other wise she smiles alot.

I believe the defense won big points today discrediting the way in which Dr. G did the autopsy. From everything I have read and heard today, it is very common procedure to remove the top of the skull. I think that hurts the state.

I'm not really sure how I feel about the idea that the skull was found on the left side and therefore duct tape wasn't put on until after decomposition. It seems far fetched that someone traipsed through the woods to apply duct tape and thought in advance that they should tape the pieces back together. Maybe Casey went back into the woods with some duct tape to try and make it look more like a kidnapping/murder?

What JP said is "I will reserve the decision whether or not I should proceed to contempt proceedings at the conclusion of this trial."

Actually, he said he's reserving his decision until the completion of the trial. To do anything else might be construed as a prejudice towards the defense.

From what I read, the top of the skull is removed to remove the brain for examination. There was no brain to be examined.
