I wish I was Madam Court Reporter!!! She knows EVERYTHING!!!

After JBP announced the recess, I noticed Baez giving some dirty looks towards the prosecutors.

They're going back and forth on HLN about whether or not Casey was or was not crying in the courtroom before the big private meeting with the attorneys and the judge.

In my opinion, she was definitely crying (well, the Casey version of crying). She seemed bothered by something which struck me as odd since nothing was really going on. I expected her to just be sitting there instead of blowing her nose and wiping *tears* away. It was later that the local reporters mentioned George breaking down and leaving the courtroom. Why are Casey and George both in tears when there wasn't anything earth shattering happening in the court room? Did they make eye contact with each other for the first time? Did they maybe both mouth "I love you" or "Go to hell?"

HLN keeps saying that if it was just a problem with Rodriguez, then they would have called the other witnesses that were already there. They are thinking it is something big. Someone posted that they were all going over to Mason's office. Is it just the defense team or are the state attorneys going also?

Not necessarily. The new person may be a set up for the next couple witnesses. We have seen this before. You can't call one guy to talk about what the other guy did/knows if that guy hasn't been on the stand yet. Baez confuses us enough. If he starts referring to some person we have yet to see, we may think he has imaginary friends like Casey.

The way I saw it, Jose Baez is going out of his way to show off his smirk this morning. I'm trying to not read too much into it.

I think the news stations are just bored today and don't have enough material to cover since they thought they would be airing a trial today. Therefore, they are grasping at all kinds of straws with plea deals, mistrials, etc. Maybe something really is going on but I am inclined to think this is simply a matter of another potential witness that needs deposed. I think he may be a replacement for Rodriguez since his testimony won't be heard. But what the heck do I know?

Yeah, all the speculation on HLN is annoying. And yet, still I watch! LOL But there were supposedly a bunch of witnesses waiting who could've testified.

I agree with this. The only question I have is why did HJBP say that everything in this morning's sidebar will be stricken from the public record?

Did he say that??? I keep getting sidetracked, so I'm missing half of things.

Just defense going to Cheney's office, as I understand.

This worries me. He's a donkey's behind on most (okay...all) days, but this morning it was even more smirky (is that a word?) than usual. That concerns me greatly.

Yes, they were wondering what his background was that made him eligible to defend a DP case. He said 40 (?) cases, 5 murder (wonder if he won??), 1 DP, I think.

ETA...not sure which he was LEAD defense attorney.

I only saw Casey on my TV. I want to say I turned the TV on around 8:50 and I jumped in the shower around 9:30 so it was sometime in between there. She definitely looked upset about something and I couldn't figure out if I had already missed something significant that happened before I turned the TV on. At first I thought they were showing an old clip but they weren't. I was watching my local Fox station.

Later, once court was recessed, the commentators were talking about George crying in the courtroom today and needing to leave because he was so emotional. To the best of my knowledge, they didn't show him crying on TV and I don't know if it was happening at the same time Casey was crying. They were trying to figure out why, with nothing major going on, he was so emotional.

Yep, I crack myself up. Leaving in a few for a play. Glad I won't miss the trial. I was going to have a very hard time focusing if the trial was on. How pathetic am I?

They're all heading to Cheney Mason's Office...why would they all get together like that. If it's a legal matter, it would be argued in court, not one of the attorney's offices. I smell a plea deal!

i swear to go - i'll go postal if they do that - all this wasted time and energy - if they take a plea now i'll shoot baez for wasting my time.

think about it, during these little court breaks when the defense team is walking outside with the media and public, Jose knows how to turn it on. He's fully aware of the camera's on him. Who knows, JP could have chewed him out this morning. We just don't know 100% what was going on. And that drives me NUTS!
