What happened?

OK JB is all over the place in questioning this lady--I'm not sure if he's trying to say there was a body in the trunk or that there wasn't a body in the trunk.

But he asks her about decomposing body leaking blood--And she looks at the jury and dumbs it down for them basically by saying something to the effect of....Well you have blood flowing thru the body so yes the body would bleed as it decomposes

ok - so hln is showing different clips of different parts of the trial and they are showing stone cold face casey but then the show george and it looks like the apple doesn't fall far from that tree.

he looks like he wants to punch someone every time they show him.

cindy often has her head down but george is always sitting there with a scowl on his face looking like he's itching for a fight.

good thing this baby is a girl because if she was a he and we named him Nicholas Andrew Taylor James my brothers and uncle could be subject to a DNA test for paternity if i committed a crime


i can't see where after sitting talking to casey for any length of time and finding out what a huge liar she is that if and when she said - my brother raped me or my father raped me that an investigator would consider that as truth. she'd have to have video or photos of it before i'd consider it

Seriously - DH wanted to name Judah "Brett Michael," after my brother and DH's brother (but I vetoed, I don't want anyone looking at my baby and thinking about Rock of Love!). That would really confuse the FBI (ETA: or rather Baez).

It's not like Caylee is an unusual name, it's actually pretty trendy right now. There is a street near downtown Orlando named Kaley, as well. And of course Caylee makes a nice name for Casey's mini-me.

On In Session someone said that the juror that said she doesn't judge anyone, hasn't taken notes the entire time and today from the first minute she was sitting up, paying close attention and taking notes.

This is the reasonable doubt section, but makes me wonder of she paid attention to the prosecution. To only take notes for the defense is judging on her part. Wonder if she realizes that.

Baez frustrates me because he never takes that next step. Why didn't he ask the FBI analyst what is the oldest case where you have been able to go back to retrieve usable DNA evidence? And, have you ever worked a DNA case under similar physical conditions? If so, were you able to retrieve usable DNA evidence?

Because they did not explore it further, the jury really doesn't know how long DNA evidence remains viable. They only know that it degrades over time and that physical conditions can cause it to degrade faster. But what is that frame of time for those conditions? I've seen cases where they have retrieved DNA evidence 40 years after the crime was committed to overturn a conviction. True, the conditions were not the same, but Baez is not doing enough to make the jury see there are other possibilities. The jury is probably assuming that Casey's DNA evidence isn't there because it degraded instead of considering that it might not be there because it was never there to begin with.

As to the third set of DNA found on the duct tape, all Baez had to do was ask her if she could definitively say it belong to the another FBI analyst. She would have had to say no. Then, he should have asked if she could definitively say who it belonged to. She would have had to say no. That would leave the jurors with an unknown DNA on the duct tape. Who knows who it belongs to? That isn't the point. It would produce an unexplained element and introduce doubt. The only thing she could say is that it did not belong to any of the Anthonys.

Baez frustrates me because he does not take those leaps that a good defense attorney should take. To me, this isn't about who is innocent or guilty. It is about doing the job the way it should be done for his client.

JB asked if there were any bones found in that area and she said yes! But not from sifting.

Yes! Yes, I understand why he's asking. My question is "where did that concern come from?" And, was there any actual REAL concern? Did Casey claim back then that Lee might be the father, or did she claim any kind of sexual abuse back then? Did LE see Lee abusing Casey? Did someone say something about Lee and Casey having a physical relationship? Did LE hear the public outcry of the absence of a father and the name "CayLEE" and the rampant theories that there was something up?

I don't think we'll ever know. From a defense standpoint, it's a good thing.
