Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

It's my understanding (and I could be wrong) that the DNA test was not to specifically include or exclude Lee...but that the results in fact DID exclude him or any other close relative. I thought that was the issue that Ashton had about the questioning...that Baez was saying that the test was done TO determine if Lee was the father. When, in fact, it just so happens the test DID exclude Lee and George.

Am I making any sense whatsoever??

Are you asking us to raise our hands if we understand? :teeth:

What basis would there be for LE to ask for a paternity test?

Bozo said in opening statements that there was oral sex involved with George, but that Lee didn't go as far. He also said something about it "getting so bad" that the FBI asked for a paternity test (or something like that). What the heck does Baez mean? Did Lee or didn't Lee, per Casey?

FBI or not this witness is not a fan of the prosecution.

Can't believe JA has to pull teeth to get her to answer a question while she was helping JB get her her testimony!

Do yall realize between recesses sidebars and lunch we've only heard about 45 minutes of actual testimony today. LOL

Baez would be mistaken. The "it" that got bad wasn't abuse, but public outcry.

Baez is likely getting it on under the premise that Lee wouldnt have done it if he never had "relations" with her. But as bad as it was with the Anthony's at that time--the public wasn't going to take Lee's word for it. Would have NEVER been accepted at all. DNA vindicates him in a way his words never would.

Guilty until proven innocent in this case.

At least that is my take. If someone is calling you a liar--only science can prove you are not. Thus--testing to rule out Anthony males as contenders for paternity.

Surely you jest!

AND THERE YOU GO

looks like dippy asked someone for some legal advice during lunch and was told how to get the question in without objections

I think that's in chapter 7 of this book:

By asking about if LE requested a paternity test, the defense is trying to make the jury understand that LE was at least concerned enough about the possibility to ask for the test. This would lead the jury to think that LE at least put some credence, at some point, toward the sexual abuse theory. At least that is the way I interpret it.

Agreed. I think people just went crazy with the question "Who is the father of CayLEE."

Baez is still flipping through the table of contents.

So, they tested Cindy's DNA too? Is SHE the father? This case is VERY interesting. :lmao:

Yes! ;)

Yes, I understand why he's asking. :thumbsup2 My question is "where did that concern come from?" And, was there any actual REAL concern? Did Casey claim back then that Lee might be the father, or did she claim any kind of sexual abuse back then? Did LE see Lee abusing Casey? Did someone say something about Lee and Casey having a physical relationship? Did LE hear the public outcry of the absence of a father and the name "CayLEE" and the rampant theories that there was something up? :confused3

OMG she just fudged her testimony inregards to blood being in the trunk!!!

:scared1:

good greif - so anyone who puts their siblings name in their childs name means they were abused by said sibling??

good thing this baby is a girl because if she was a he and we named him Nicholas Andrew Taylor James my brothers and uncle could be subject to a DNA test for paternity if i committed a crime

i can't see where after sitting talking to casey for any length of time and finding out what a huge liar she is that if and when she said - my brother raped me or my father raped me that an investigator would consider that as truth. she'd have to have video or photos of it before i'd consider it
