the favorite doll in the car, Caseys Purse with stuff in it left???
did she panic at that point, and if so, WHY...just makes no sense to me ....:confused3

I think it was her "work bag" not so much a purse. But the favorite doll, to me, doesn't make sense with the defense story.

Cindy up to the part of picking up the car. Caylee's doll was in the car, her favorite doll. Which leads to wonder why was the doll in the car? If the defense story is true, wouldn't the doll have been at home with Caylee since that is where she died? Her backpack was in the car as well... Doesn't make sense that her favorite things were in the car when she was at home supposedly...

Anyway, she says she took everything out of the car, sprayed the car down. Also confirms that she said it smelled like something died. She says the smell was like no other but she didn't think it was anything since George had told her there was nothing in the trunk.

Confirms that as a nurse, she has been exposed to rotting flesh either through school or through her job. But she used the "smells like something died" as an expression and really didn't connect the dots.
Good point about Casey's favorite doll in the car, along with the backpack.

Cindy said that after she smelled the smell, George told her about the bag of garbage being thrown out at the tow yard.

And George took the battery out of the car so Casey wouldn't take it if she came back home when they weren't there. Wow. Things were really starting to sink in with them how screwed up Casey was, but I'm sure they never imagined THIS.

On my desktop, but can't park myself here. Damn laptop!

Did they say that? I missed that!
NEVERENOUGHWDW asked why the Anthony's never asked Jeff about the nanny when he was at their house. :confused3 I got the impression from her statement that she knew something about Jeff and that he was close to the Anthony's, but apparently not?

i can say that my daughter has left her fav doll in my brothers car ALTHOUGH she's now 5 and a half but when she was caylee's age she left stuff in cars but didn't think twice about it.

i know some kids freak out if they don't have their blankey or fav toy but not every kid does so i wouldn't think much of it either.

i'm more concerned she said not much about the smell and believed her dh about garbage even though shes a nurse and know what decomp smells like

Is it just me or does it seem like the prosecutor can't change her tone at all, when Cindy states that the car looked like such and such except for the writing on the windshield etc the prosecutor seems to have an attitude with Cindy for being observant and thorough. It is annoying the heck outta me since she is a witness for the state.

Cindy mentions there was one of her steak knives in the car.. State leads her away from this statement, Baez objects, sidebar, Judge asks for that statement to be stricken.

e

I say it because my DS , at 2, wouldn't sleep without her "baby". There were times she left it at my moms and nighttime would be a PAIN! If it were in my car, you'd bet Id be outside getting it out! LOL

I think the prosecution is walking on egg shells here, I mean it is a mom against a daughter...she has to be very careful not to come off as a hard nose, not caring person.
ANd thanks for info about "work" purse....I agree about that doll though....UGH, so sad......

His timeline in his opening statement:

"Early morning hours the exact time is not known...it could have been early afternoon...early morning...actually it was the early morning hours. "

:rolleyes1

It's easy for us to say now....how did she not think that it wasn't garbage but decomp because we are hearing it KNOWING that Caylee is deceased. If you had been living it and thinking the baby is in Tampa, with a nanny etc, the first thing that jumps into your head most likely is not that her body was in the trunk. It isn't unreasonable to think that she would not initially think of a rotting corpse, but instead garbage in the trunk.

holy crap - why is the judges mic sooooooo loud compared to the others????

just about blew my ears off

WHAT SAY YOU DEFENCE - ouch

i see that "toy box" type thing in pool pix posted...bet defense will say she could have climbed up and fell in????....WILL the prosecution clarify that caylee never did this? or could not? or something to cover their bases???

Cindy seems to really being having a tough time today. I can understand the denial of not wanting to see that the smell was a dead body smell and not really comprehending or thinking that Caylee was dead at the hands of Casey, therefore, wanting to help air out and smell of everything. And now, she has to really be facing the truth.

She knows she is damaging Casey's case. I don't care how much is the truth, as a mother, it must really be hard accepting that your daughter would do something like this and realizing that you are helping to convict her. She really is having a hard time.

This is making me SO angry. Cindy is changing her story saying she was stressed and on medication when she gave her deposition. I cannot stand this woman, its no wonder why Casey is the way she is. Seriously.

ya i understand that but people who work with that smell say it's very very obvious and unforgetable. you or i would believe it may be rotting garbage but a nurse who knows that smell should have twigged on something

she even said - who died to george but didn't think further.

she can't get in touch with casey. caylees missing from her for weeks but nothing twiggs.

how long after she does all this with the cleaning does she call 911?

True, and if its your daughter, would you really jump to the conclusion that your granddaughter was dead and rotting in that car? I think I have to give her a bit of a break there. She probably is just thinking.. casey, what did you do now? What is going on?

She doesn't call 911 until she gets Casey from Tony's house and realizes that Caylee is not with her, nobody has seen her and Casey won't take her to get Caylee.

And remember, she did get a hold of Casey. She spoke to her everyday. Opps sorry, she didn't get an answer that day but she sent her a text
