This is making me SO angry. Cindy is changing her story saying she was stressed and on medication when she gave her deposition. I cannot stand this woman, its no wonder why Casey is the way she is. Seriously.

Wow so because Cindy was trying not to believe that her grand-daughter was dead at the hands of her daughter when she made her deposition and now sees her for what she is.... that makes Casey the pathological liar that she is... :confused3

what's different from what she's saying now to what she said then?

Here is the swimming pool picture I was talking about. I actually saw it on Nancy Grace last night but found it online, too.

Not that I really think Caylee drowned, but as a safety concern, that storage tub next to the pool is just an invite to stand on & look into the pool for a toddler when the ladder is down. Don't know how tall she was, but wonder if she had capability of getting up onto that, and possibly even putting a pail on top to make her even taller. :confused3

NEVERENOUGHWDW asked why the Anthony's never asked Jeff about the nanny when he was at their house. :confused3 I got the impression from her statement that she knew something about Jeff and that he was close to the Anthony's, but apparently not?

Was it Jeff that was at the birthday party with the microphone?

No, because Cindy has always been a liar, trying to cover up for Casey. Do you truly believe she sprayed the car with Febreeze and washed clothes when she had not seen Caylee for a month? Plus, she is changing her story - the prosecutor called her on it and Cindy said she was medicated and stressed at the time of her deposition. Give me a break. Back pedaling. The whole family is insane.

Do you know when that was taken?
i can say that my daughter has left her fav doll in my brothers car ALTHOUGH she's now 5 and a half but when she was caylee's age she left stuff in cars but didn't think twice about it.

i know some kids freak out if they don't have their blankey or fav toy but not every kid does so i wouldn't think much of it either.

i'm more concerned she said not much about the smell and believed her dh about garbage even though shes a nurse and know what decomp smells like
Every kids is different. I think all of this "evidence" is taken along with everything else. It may or may not have been a big deal with Caylee.
Is it just me or does it seem like the prosecutor can't change her tone at all, when Cindy states that the car looked like such and such except for the writing on the windshield etc the prosecutor seems to have an attitude with Cindy for being observant and thorough. It is annoying the heck outta me since she is a witness for the state.
I noticed that too, and I think it stinks. I think George and Cindy are good witnesses, and against their daughter. I'd try to keep them as "friends" if I were Burdick.
Cindy mentions there was one of her steak knives in the car.. State leads her away from this statement, Baez objects, sidebar, Judge asks for that statement to be stricken.
I missed the part about the steak knife. Yikes! And why can't she say there was a steak knife in the car, if in fact there was a steak knife in the car?!
I think the prosecution is walking on egg shells here, I mean it is a mom against a daughter...she has to be very careful not to come off as a hard nose, not caring person.
ANd thanks for info about "work" purse....I agree about that doll though....UGH, so sad......
Agreed.
It's easy for us to say now....how did she not think that it wasn't garbage but decomp because we are hearing it KNOWING that Caylee is deceased. If you had been living it and thinking the baby is in Tampa, with a nanny etc, the first thing that jumps into your head most likely is not that her body was in the trunk. It isn't unreasonable to think that she would not initially think of a rotting corpse, but instead garbage in the trunk.
Agreed.

Really? I don't see the problem with her now, and I understand the situation they were in then.
ya i understand that but people who work with that smell say it's very very obvious and unforgetable. you or i would believe it may be rotting garbage but a nurse who knows that smell should have twigged on something

she even said - who died to george but didn't think further.

she can't get in touch with casey. caylees missing from her for weeks but nothing twiggs.

how long after she does all this with the cleaning does she call 911?
Caylee wasn't KNOWN to them to be missing. That's what George kept trying to stress. Just because THEY hadn't seen her, doesn't mean she was missing. Casey was 22 years old at the time...not a child...and telling them she was other places WITH CAYLEE. Eventually, they were getting proof of her lies, and WE know how much she lied, but at the time, they had no reason to believe Caylee was missing or dead.
Wow I feel so bad for Cindy. :(
Me too. :(
True, and if its your daughter, would you really jump to the conclusion that your granddaughter was dead and rotting in that car? I think I have to give her a bit of a break there. She probably is just thinking.. casey, what did you do now? What is going on?
Agreed.

Steak knife in the car?
Was that the original method she was going to use to kill Caylee and then went the chloroform route?

Think the 911 calls are coming now. She is really preparing herself, Cindy really doesn't want to hear this.

When was that picture taken? I think it's a stretch that Caylee could get her leg over and pull herself over the side. JMHO For safety's sake, definitely I would not have that box there. (But again...when was that picture taken?) Could she have put a pail on top? :confused3 I guess anything is possible.

So are you saying she DIDN'T spray the car and wash the clothes??? Here's what I think. The grandparents were in the middle of a HORRIBLE nightmare...granddaughter missing, daughter arrested, news media all over the place, and YES in denial about a lot of things. I can't even BEGIN to imagine. God forbid I ever find myself in the middle of a horrible nightmare that involves my children or grandchildren and have to keep my thoughts accurate and composed.

Like her or hate her this poor woman....can't imagine what the calls are going to do to her?

i still think casey was drugging that child all along....no sitter/nanny EVER, where the heck was that child ALL that time???? prob drugged, and then it did not fit caseys plans that particular day/eve, and she over did it....as far as cindy goes, I think it is breaking her heart....she must be sick thinking that her very own daughter killed that baby girl and tho there had been such angst in that home, and with casey as a daughter, I can understand why...but to think your own flesh and blood murdered or even accidentally negligently killed that child is beyond comprehension to me.....

Sidebar... again.

I guess I just don't get these eveidence rules. I thought evidence was allowed or disallowed during pre-trial hearings. Why does it happen again? Judge Perry has a big ol' ring binder out and reading something

And now 15 minute recess.... ugh!

I thought so too. :confused3

OK...everyone go pee, put a load of laundry in, make those phone calls, etc.

Maybe Casey used the steak knife to cut the duct tape with....

I think it is very telling that Caylee's favorite doll and backpack were in the car. I wonder if Caylee had the backpack with her when she went to see great-Grandma and great-Grandpa, if that's the case, then how did it end up in Casey's car????

Gosh, that is so very sad to think about. :sad2: I don't know what went thru the mind of KC..

Cindy and George didn't for 1 minute believe Casey was an angel. The girl was always lying, stealing money, never graduated from high school. Yes, they did their share of enabling Casey. They probably shouldn't have supported her they way they did. Looks like once Caylee came around, they were just plain scared that Casey would up and leave with the little girl.

Im sure they knew that Casey didn't have the means to take care of Caylee. Everyone around them told them that Casey had issues, but sadly, they just tried to cover it up for appearances and for whatever reason, further enabled the behavior. Ive seen parents do much worse.

But even through all these lies, you can see they kept giving Casey chances. Do you really think that they believed, for even 1 minute, that Caylee was missing because Casey killed her? I don't. They were probably more worried about who Casey gave her to! They must feel every emotion in the book. They probably feel overwhelming guilt as well. I don't see them as evil. Misguided maybe, but not evil. They wanted to believe their daughter was good, sadly its hitting them smack in the head and it must be very painful. They need to admit the truth about Casey for the first time and this time, they can't help her out of this mess anymore.

At least, thats how I see it. Today... (reserve the right to change my mind as testimony continues!)

can someone tell me - did casey ever work for universal?

if not how did she get all those name bages?

If Caylee is with the nanny, wouldnt she need the carseat? The backpack had tooth brushes. And being gone for a month, how many of Caylees clothes were taken from the house? Youd think alot of clothes would be gone for her to change them. I dont know if they ever questioned that. I dont know if this has been asked, I asked earlier but the page turned so it is lost now:rotfl:, but the when casey borrowed the shovel, did anyone find the hole where she was digging and did the cadaver dog hit on that area?
