But what happened that day? Maybe Caylee was so out of it and wasn't responding and Casey finished her off. (Ugh...that sounds awful.)

Oh that just gave me the chills. I had never thought of Zanny the Nanny in terms of Xanax, wow. I do know they are often referred to as "zanis".

It's been publicly suggested that that's what Zani might have meant. It was news to me...I swear, I'm so naive.

The chloroform picture? I think they said March. Not sure tho.

Are you saying the alternates will not be able to go home until a verdict is reached? And that an alternate will be able to replace a juror if necessary during deliberations?

I didn't catch anything about the judge telling them he preferred jurors not take notes in the courtroom, and to just listen. That doesn't seem appropriate to try to dictate to jurors not to take notes, if taking notes is specifically allowed in this case. I know that their notes must be left in the courtroom and are sealed at night.

I did not hear the judge give those instructions. That is what they are saying on WESH news. I don't know if they will make the alternates stay through deliberation, but they will have to stay at least until it starts.

I'd have to go back through the timeline, and I'm too lazy to do that right now, but there is at least one person's statement, a friend, that took Xanax. Casey would have had access to it. Much like she had access to other people's money.

I've always wondered too, like a PP, if she was drugging Caylee so she could party, where was Caylee being kept?

I know people drug their kids. My own sister has told me that when her kids were little she would give them Nyquil to make them sleep. When she told me this I was like, "WHAT?!"

They weren't sick, she just needed "a break."

Staying at least until deliberations only makes sense. The jurors had questioned tho whether or not the alternates could leave when deliberations started. I'm not sure they've gotten an answer on that. If they can't leave, I'm not sure why they can't. If they absolutely can't enter deliberations after deliberations have started, then it would seem the should be able to go home. They can't taint the jury pool at that time. It could make for a media circus, but that shouldn't affect a sequestered jury's deliberations. Whenever these jurors are released, no matter what the verdict, it's going to be a mess.

I wonder how many jurors will speak to the media? They obviously don't have to, but how many will choose to. I still remember "Strawberry Shortcake" from the Scott Peterson trial.

Ive heard about that xanax connection but I don't think I believe it. Casey isn't the brightest bulb and I don't think she would come up with it. I think just like they have said, she read that name off a guest card at the Sawgrass Apts as reported, and in typical Casey fashion, she sees something and then uses it to create her stories.

Maybe you are right! Im not sure I believe the 'rents as to when they heard the name cause they , up to now, have been in full on save Casey mode. But, you make a good point and good possibility.

So, are we going to have more of these friends? I know Amy Huizenga and Annie Dowling haven't testified yet but boy, lots of boys, huh?

Cheney Mason sounds as obnoxious Baez. The two of them are sounding like they think the one who barks the loudest at the witnesses wins. Or the anger makes it sound like they've got something solid to question these witnesses about.

Reminds me of the time, almost 40 years ago, when my sister and her friend visited my parents house (I was 15 and had just moved with my parents to MA). The friend went into the woods to smoke pot, while my sister sat and chatted on the deck with my mother. My sister told me later that as the smell of pot reached them, my sister started to try to cover it up by talking louder. This just reminds me of that. Maybe I'm just punchy after 3 days of this.

Mason is suggesting case law says that "lack of remorse" cannot be used as a sign of guilty. Thinks it is improper.

WHAT???

The allegation is she murdered her child and HID it.
