I wanted to point out that last night on Nancy Grace they showed jailhouse tapes of Casey speaking to her parents saying how she was so thankful for them and that she couldn't ask for better grandparents for Caylee and how they have always been there for her. Now she says she has been molested by her father. Which one is it?:confused3
Yeah, I saw that. Hhhmmm....
I understand that they will have court on Saturdays but this Saturday is Memorial Day weekend, I was thinking that they would take a 3 day weekend. Can anyone confirm? Also if they do take a 3 day weekend, can the jurors see their families?
They can talk to family every night, and see them I think on Sundays. I think Judge Perry wants to just work as much as possible...3 days is a LONG time to take off.

I thought the "going outside" was a way to say "take a pee break." :confused3:lmao:

Three days is a long time, I wouldn't want to be sequestered for a holiday weekend.

I'm really likin' this judge.

He didn't look too shocked or horrified by the things they were saying he did to his own daughter and granddaughter. I also didn't think he looked like he was telling the truth when he said "no I did not" about molesting Casey and covering up Caylee's death. If someone accused me of such horrific, untrue things, I'd be beside myself, and he just didn't look fazed by it. :confused3
He is not ALLOWED to be showing emotion or he will be thrown out of the court, it was part of the deal letting him and Cindy be in there to begin with.

I haven't read through the entire thread, so I apologize if this has already been mentioned and discussed. I was talking about the case with a friend, and this popped into my head. Could it be possible that George is in on this defense story? George and Cindy have always been "ruled" by Casey and seemed to do anything and everything for her. Could it be that George is taking the bullet by allowing the defense to throw him under the bus in an attempt to create reasonable doubt? I know it sounds absurd, who would ever agree to something so horrible, but in this family, nothing surprises me anymore.
I think he refuted this theory yesterday by not agreeing to anything the defense has just thrown out there.

"Snakey" That is a perfect description of Baez in regards to whether witnesses were present when Caylee drowned.

Cigarrette break is what I thought they meant by outside.
Oh. I don't smoke, but I do worry about pee breaks. LOL

Casey Jordan, lawyer/professor/commentator, was shocked that Judge Perry overruled the prosecution's objection to the question "Were you in the Anthony's backyard when Caylee drowned?"

Witness: Mr. Roy (Clint) House.. another roommate

Good Morning......another day I think the judge is spot on.

Cindy is a bit squirmy today.

CA trying to to look at anyone.

I don't understand why Baez is asking this witness if Caylee looked well fed and if Casey seemed to be a good mother. He only saw Casey and Caylee together 2-3 times. Can you really judge if someone is a good mother by only seeing them 2-3 times? And as far as her being well fed and well taken care of it wasn't Casey taking care of her 99 percent of the time, it was Cindy and george

That is actually a good question for Baez to ask.

Provides a modicum of reasonable doubt that someone capable of murdering their child would not be actually caring for their child.

And now that everyone is saying smoke break, I feel silly.

That didn't even cross my mind.

I agree, but the thing is that to my understanding Casey wasn't actually taking daily care of Caylee, her mother and father were.

I see it as the child was always with some
One else. I would also be questioning how wAs the nanny paid

Not so sure about that. One of my first thoughts was if George and Cindy are in on this line of defense too. If he just came right out and admitted "yup, I found Caylee in the pool, helped with the cover up, and molested Casey for years" it would sound even more of a made up excuse.

But if at first he denies it, and then under "extreme pressure" Cindy might "crack" and reveal something like "all those years ago when Casey was a child I didn't "know" but I always wondered if something was going on with George, etc.." Then it isn't outright condemning George as a molester but could be planting seeds of doubt in the jury that the Defense will run with. The defense doesn't have to "prove" her innocence of the crimes against her (or "prove" George guilty of the claims they are making against him), just throw enough reasonable doubt into the mix that the jury starts to wonder "what if."

With all the questions the prosecution asked this guy, one after the other..."Did Casey ever mention her daughter being kidnapped? Did Casey ever mention that she was looking for her daughter? etc" why didn't he ask "Did Casey ever mention that Caylee drowned in the pool?"

I was thinking the same thing.

But wouldn't he have to deny everything? I wouldn't expect him to admit to anything, but instead deny and raise doubt in the jury's mind. I know he's under oath, but it seems this family will do anything to protect their daughter. I know it's a far-fetched idea, but I wouldn't put it past the Anthonys. The only other thing is that maybe he is in on the accidental drowning story, but was blind-sided by the cover-up and molestation part.

Like minds think alike! :thumbsup2 You explained your reasoning a lot better than I did, though.
