I think that Baez would have had a fighting chance if he had NOT involved George in his defense story. It just doesn't come off as feasible. If it was just Casey who was there when the "drowning" occurred, it just seems like it would be easier to explain why she covered it up, why she was in denial, etc. Involving George just doesn't work, IMHO.

Agreed. He should have gone with the accident theory and left it at that. Putting in the George just doesn't ring true on so many levels.

I agree. I think it only made the defense look like they are grasping at straws. Like no one on the jury could see though that.

On HLN last night one of the guests said that Casey would have been better off when she got to the "office" building in Universal, if she just stood there and said "where is my office, who is sitting at my desk, why are these people pretending to not know me"

If she had actually searched for self defense theories or been as big of a Law and Order buff as she said she was, I wonder why she didn't play up the "crazy" or "delusional" angle.

Casey's problem is that she only thinks right now. She makes up her lies on the spot for that moment. She does not look ahead. If she had she would have planned this better. This is why I tend to believe this was not a planned murder. She might be intelligent and well-spoken but her life is about the moment.

I'm with ya on that, but I hope the jury is just becomin' more infuriated with Casey as she continues to lie, lie, lie. I want her to get the death penalty for usin' society's time 'n energy on her fantasy life 'n killin' Caylee.

I think this is a hugely important video tho, just George and Casey speaking. Obviously they knew it would be public, but they hardly look like they're covering up for anything TOGETHER.

My DS just texted me from school...would like me to run an errand for him. Did he not get the memo?? I told him he's a PITA. (But yeah, I'll do it...during the lunch recess.)

And I was just thinking.. If Baez had any kind of experience he would have known these visits would be released, by law and wouldn't have allowed them. These 5 are the only ones because as soon as they were released, he put a stop to them LOL But then again, he probably believed this Zanny crap at first anyway.

I agree with this whole post - and I too do not believe this was premeditated. I think she just did something stupid and something awful happened, and then she just dealt with it in her usual way - by lying.

All I can say is Thank God for Nancy Grace, if it wasn't for her getting these videos on her show so quickly back in 2008, they would have never stopped with the recorded jailhouse visits and calls. The trial would go on for ages then.

She said she was reluctant to talk to a lot of people about Caylee so he is probably just trying to find someone that he thinks she would be OK and comfortable talking to.

Yeah, I figured as much, but I still like my Love Connection theory better. It helps to liven up these boring tapes a little.

I think she was entertaining several options for permanent "solutions" to her social obstacles. Thus the searches for neck breaking, chloroform and the MISSING CHILDREN'S websites.

Does anyone else agree with me that Lee destroyed the laptop on purpose? Did the authorities get any information off of the laptop? I am so curious what other information may have been on there that could show her "plan"

I'm right there with you. Can you imagine the craziness that would be the Casey Show if she got Life in prison?

I'm hopeful that the lack of remorse is what will give the jury the push they need to give her the death penalty.
