So there's this Mark Eiglarsh, a criminal defense attorney, on Dr Drew (I've never seen this show before...:confused3) and Dr Drew asked Eiglarsh if he would be advising her to make eye contact with the jurors, and he responded: "I would advise her like I do all of my clients...that this is theater, they're always studying the actors. They're looking at every move that you're making, like America is. So continue to look like you are involved in this case, don't start to daydream, take notes when appropriate, feel emotion, gently shake your head if you don't agree with something." :headache: I said this before and I'll say it again...part of the defense's reason for sitting directly across from the jury is so that they can see all that, and the sweet young emotionally damaged "child" that they want them to believe Casey is.

Then they (the jury) should also be able to see that she doesn't seem to react to much unless she's not getting the proper amount of petting from her attorneys or if she's slighted by a family member. Yet talk of a missing Caylee does nothing to change her blank and occasionally angry facial expressions.

Watching Bill Sheaffer's review of the day.

Awesome. "Did you ever ask Casey if she ever committed suicide?" :rotfl2:

Plus Casey's "maybe I'm just a vindictive *itch". Nice!

A laugh & I smile I needed today.

Did she have hair extensions in today or has her hair / pony tail really grown that long? I hadn't noticed it THAT long the past days.

We had 2 pass through our town. 4 dead in state...hoping no more. 19 towns with damage. On the ground from Springfield to Oxford. FAR!

They are thinking there were 3-5 on the ground. They'll know more in next couple days.

No damage here. Tree in backyard struck my lightning. It set off building alarms so we had to be outside for 45 minutes....while another storm rolled in. Fire Dept from other towns had to respond. Ours too busy.

Then I finally got back into the house.....I had a live mouse in the kitchen. ROFL. I think the cats heading to the basement sent the mouse upstairs. So...then I had to get neighbor over to help corner & catch the mouse.

Then another storm rolled in.

All from like 5pm to 9:30pm. I'm beat.

Some towns with A LOT of damage. Trailer truck & cars rolled over. Houses collapsed. Honestly amazing damage for MA. Looks like Oklahoma. We don't get this here!
Turn on NECN. They are still covering. Lots more pics as daylight comes tomorrow.
Oh wow. I just read up a bit on Projo.com. I know, we don't normally have to deal with much beyond snow. I always felt a little cocky about how "safe" it is, weather-wise, around here relative to other places.

I heard from my DD in Boston; she was out running when a storm hit, and ran back to her apartment; said between the car alarms going off and the thunder, it was LOUD. And that it was "the worst storm I've ever seen besides that hurricane (Charlie) in Disney."

Stay safe beaucoup!

One thought about Lee and the "C.M.A" thing: They were playing replays on Nancy Grace of the memorial of Lee's speech and they showed him kissing his bracelet. Does anybody know if that was a "Find Caylee" bracelet or the bracelet that Casey gave him (it was black)? Mallory, Lee's fiance talks about the bracelet Casey gave him in a letter she wrote to Casey in jail, and how she wants to replace it. Which bracelet he is kissing will tell us who "C.M.A" is....

I really wish I had kept a list on this thread of Baez-isms. He is such a doofus.

It's really that long.

I'm watching the local weather now about Springfield. Unbelievable.

And it seemed like she actually thought she could pull it off. She took those cops on a wild goose chase more than once.

The one time when she was taking them to the apartment where the nanny supposedly lived, and then they get there and it's a vacant apartment, as another poster said.

And then leading them to Universal, and walking them to her office, that was not there.

She must have thought they were not very bright. It's just weird to think she thought that she could actually pull it off.

I have to wonder whether she was so accustomed to doing this on a regular basis (remember her "OMG, I'm such a good liar" statement ) and getting away with it that she just went into default mode and did what came "naturally" to her. It really is hard to imagine anybody taking it to the lengths that she did (like at Universal). :confused3

If they are using this angle to try to show that Casey lies, and if it's not true, then that's a really sick and twisted story for the defense to come up with.

I know someone who is a court reporter. She once said that in the divorce cases they hear it's very common for one party to accuse the other of molesting the children. The other common charge is being bi-polar. As a victim of abuse I do recognize how common it is, but I get what she was saying in that the charge seems to be trotted out when it's convenient sometimes - kind of like what's probably happening in this case IMHO.

I think the Nanny kidnapped Caylee and killed her. Because on that Cassie had to try so hard to get to her daughter. So that morning she drooped off her daughter was the last time she was seen alive

The nanny does not exist. Casey admits that. The defense says Caylee died accidently. The prosecution says Casey killed Caylee.

????
You do know that 6 weeks ago the defense came out saying there WAS NO NANNY, right? And Cindy & George finally stopped looking for her.

That's when the defense came up with the drowning story.

My husband hasn't been following the trial very closely so I was giving him the recap tonight. When I got done, he wanted to sum it up to make sure he understood everything.

This is what he said:
Casey had imaginary friends and an imaginary nanny. For months, she concocted a story that the imaginary nanny kidnapped Caylee. It all turned out to be a lie. Caylee actually drowned in the pool and Casey and George ran around duct taping everything to cover up the drowning. Casey lied about the nanny because her dad sexually abused her and Cindy is to blame because Casey started her period at 10 and her mom didn't take her to a gynecologist. :lmao:

Everybody is equally entitled to their opinion - absolutely! :)

Honestly though, I haven't seen anything that indicated at all that Casey tried to get to her daughter. I saw where she got to clubs, boyfriends, and parties but not where she made an effort to find her daughter. I just don't see her even looking for Caylee. She didn't tell anybody and didn't notify law enforcement (even when LE did come into the picture, she misled them). And she now admits that there was no nanny. This is strictly my take on it though. :)

I wonder if the prosecution realizes this

If that's just a coincidence, that's freaky.

I don't know or have much connection with many Hispanics, but are the names Gonzalez and Zeinada really common? Or pretty unique?

If unique, that's just too much of a coincidence. She didn't just pull that name out of a hat if she rapidly hid a dead baby. That sounds planned & thought out.

That sounds about right. Its probably what the juror thinks right about now too. :lmao:

I know Gonzalez is a pretty common name but not sure about Zenaida. Either way it's definitely interesting and something the prosecution should know. Too bad they can't hear me screaming at the tv! ;)

The apartment she took the police to had been vacant for months.

.

seriously :scared1:
wow
where was I when that info came out ( guess I mmissed a few nancy grace episodes
)

alright, so how soon did the cops arrest her? it shoulda been at that moment.

OK, that's creepy. Queue Twilight Zone theme now.

I looked on snopes, and there's nothing about this. I also looked on whitepages.com, and those names match up.

I keep typing things out and deleting it. I mean, it seems like a ridiculous urban legend, and yet, it's quite the coincidence, isn't it?
I don't know or have much connection with many Hispanics, but are the names Gonzalez and Zeinada really common? Or pretty unique?
Gonzalez is very common. Zenaida, I don't know.

Did she ever use the whole name before July 15? Or was it always just Zenaida? Or was it just Zani??? Did Gonzalez come into it before the 15th? Because I hate to sound like a sucker believing there's anything to it, because again, it SEEMS ridiculous, and yet...:scared1: I could definitely see Casey coming up with the FULL name after the fact. One of the "experts" on one of the shows (they're all running together) was saying how liars lie...referenced some crime movie (?)...like if they need to come up with a name and there's a brand name on something, they'll use that name and they'll remember it because they'll remember the association. (OK, the "expert" said it MUCH better!)
