I am secretly hoping that Baez & Co. are withholding this info. from her and will let her find out on her own!!! It kind of sounds like they've already washed their hands of her at this point!

Not a secret anymore! :lmao: I agree tho, it would be great if they didn't tell her! And the article I posted earlier from Orlando Sentinal said her attorney was Charles M. Green, so maybe you're right, Baez and Co have flown the coop!! :confused3

911: Remain calm Ms. Anthony. Help is on the way.

CA: How much longer?

911: Should be there in 31 days.

Awesome!!!! :thumbsup2

I agree that the chances of her son being the dad are slim to none, BUT she claims that in this conversation her son told her about the baby girl he was having with a girl named "Casey" from FL and her parents "Cindy and George who was a police officer"...

Maybe her memory is a lot like Cindy's - it seems to get better with time! :rotfl: Who knows what the truth is, but she seems to think she could be the grandmother. Highly unlikely, IMO!

Sounds like the woman who went to the lottery office and said she won the lottery. They congratulated her and asked for the ticket. She said she lost her ticket but she knew that her numbers matched. She was livid when they told her. "Sorry, no prize for you."

That was my thought when I saw your post on Green defending her for the civil suit that Zanny's bringing up.

I wonder if Green was court appointed or what? I mean, Casey has no money to pay this guy!

He might be. I looked up his name for his who he was associated with and all it says is it's HIS law firm. And no website, just getting hits from lawyers.com and the like. :confused3

It isn't that they have flown the coop. They don't address civil issues in their practice. They are probably counting their blessings.

Civil issues are not something that the state helps you with. She is on her own as far as the state is concerned.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. I know some attorneys "do it all" and since Baez is going to be flooded with new clients now:rotfl:, I really didn't think he would leave his "cash cow". Oh yeah, he's on the outside, he knows she's more of a liability than a cash cow. :rolleyes1

This is the best I could find on him. It seems like if you are a lawyer defending Casey, your website automatically shuts down.

Established in 2000, the Law Offices of Charles M. Greene, P.A. combines the depth, expertise and personal attention of a small specialty law firm with the breadth, flexibility and resources of a larger service firm. We offer clients the same resources as many large firms, without sacrificing the personalized focus and attention that comes with a modest-sized staff. We have forged many alliances, and will use all the tools at our disposal to achieve the goal you seek. Whether you face a jury trial, civil trial or administrative proceeding, our team of highly-skilled attorneys will be beside you every step of the way.

OK - did not know that! Thanks! Who would take little Miss Indigent? For the notariety? Is that the kind of notariety you want to associate yourself with? Really? :sad2:

They don't want death threat emails, I'm sure. But, still, people could fax and mail them as a simple address/phone search would turn up their office info. I'm sure they'll get some people sending them hate snail mail!

Watching NGrace and they're showing the jail house video of Casey talking to her parents. She was describing Zanny. OMG - what a psycho. Then she tells her parents that she can't talk about anything and Cindy asks if it's because she/they are in danger and she said "Let's leave it at that." Ai yi yi!

Cindy told her that reward for Caylee is $20K and she's like "It should be. She's worth that" and she's told that lots of people want Caylee back and Casey said that everyone should want Caylee back. She starts to cry at one point and Cindy tells her it's ok to cry. Casey says that she really hasn't cried at all in jail and she's keeping herself busy reading books. Ummm ... I don't know about anyone else but the thought of finding my butt in jail is enough to make me want to cry! And she is in jail, telling her parents her child is missing and she's not upset about it? Ahhh ... yeah ... because she KNOWS her child is dead and has no remorse.

It is very interesting to watch her moods change throughout their conversation.

George Anthony plans to lobby for Florida to pass 'Caylee's Law'
'If it reflects on my daughter, well, so be it,' says father of Casey Anthony

By Lilly Rockwell, The News Service of Florida
7:56 p.m. EDT, July 13, 2011

TALLAHASSEE — The public outcry over Casey Anthony's not-guilty verdict has unleashed a wave of "Caylee's Law" proposals in more than 20 states.

Politicians are clamoring to file bills that would stiffen penalties against parents or caretakers who do not report their children missing promptly. Anthony did not report her child missing for 31 days.

States considering Caylee's Law bills include Texas, Massachusetts, Arkansas, Missouri, California, Colorado, Georgia, and several others, according to news reports. But only three states — Florida, New Jersey and Tennessee — actually have bills filed, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

One supporter of Florida's Caylee's Law is George Anthony, the father of Casey Anthony and grandfather to Caylee, according to the Washington Post.

"This is a great legacy for my granddaughter. Other children still need assistance. If it reflects on my daughter, well, so be it," George Anthony wrote in an email to the Post, saying he plans to lobby for the bill in Florida.

The high-profile murder trial of Casey Anthony this summer captured the attention of the nation, with television pundits dissecting each day of the trial. Anthony was accused of murdering 2-year-old daughter Caylee, whose body was found near her Orlando home in December 2008.
One of the pieces of evidence used against Anthony was her failure to report her daughter missing for 31 days, with pictures having surfaced of her allegedly partying with friends during that time.

The jury's decision July 5 to acquit Anthony on murder charges has provoked outrage and anger across the nation. By the next day, an online petition had gathered hundreds of signatures pushing for a "Caylee's Law."

It only took 24 hours for one Florida lawmaker to suggest a "Caylee's Law" bill. By the end of last week, not only had other Florida lawmakers suggested similar measures, but lawmakers across the nation were proposing "Caylee's Law" bills that impose strict penalties on parents or caretakers for not reporting children missing.

Florida's proposed law (HB 37) would also make it a felony to not report a child's death within two hours.

Another Florida legislator is taking a different tack. Rep. Scott Randolph, D-Orlando, is proposing legislation that would prohibit jurors from receiving money in exchange for providing information or interviews related to a trial after it's over.

At least one juror in the Casey Anthony trial is reportedly soliciting money for interviews about the experience.

Laws crafted in response to child deaths are not new. When 9-year-old Texas girl Amber Hagerman was kidnapped in 1996, she inspired the "Amber Alert" laws that set up emergency alerts for missing children. In Florida in 2005, when 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford was found dead and a sex offender convicted of the crime, she inspired a new law that required more rigid tracking of sex offenders.

But with "Caylee's Law," some critics have already emerged, questioning whether the bills are needed and might have unintended consequences, such as punishing grief-stricken parents for not reporting deaths quickly enough.

"People running for office have no imagination," said Joe Episcopo, a Tampa-based criminal defense attorney. "They think that if they do this they might get a vote. They are trying to capitalize on everyone's disappointment."

Episcopo said instances of parents not reporting children missing are extremely rare.

"We don't have a problem anyway, this problem doesn't exist. It is manufactured," Episcopo said.

Oh, good gravy ... juror #3 is on tv complaining she's getting nasty messages on FB and email. Well, who ho'd themselves out on TV? Suck it up, buttercup. Someone needs to tell her that if she didn't go pimping out her story, this wouldn't be happening to her. :sad2: And, just shut up about it now. Talking to the media more is only going to make it worse. What an idiot ... further proof that these jurors weren't the brightest bulbs ...

Hope that Disney trip was worth it, honey! :sad2:

Sort of true, but sort of not....

They were to consider her ACTIONS and they could "infer" that they meant something.

I don't remember how it was considered during trial. I do know that Baez objected on several occasions because he felt the prosecution was discussing character (which I guess would mean behavior, but I am not sure)--and prosecution said that it was to show her actions and lack of doing anything for her daughter or something. Most objections were sustained.

It's been almost 2 months, so I don't quite know how that all worked itself out.

I.e. they could not judge her for being a party girl and that because she was a party girl, she must have murdered her daughter. But what they could do was judge her for PARTYING while her daughter was missing or dead and wow--she must have killed her daughter, because who does that when the child is missing or died on accident.

Probably messed all that up--working solely from memory, so if anyone has corrections or can explain it better--please feel free.:teacher:

But they did what Baez told them. She may be the s-word and a party girl, but that doesn't make her a murderer and you shouldn't convict her.

They should just issue a blanket statement and say they did as Baez instructed. They would at least sound more intelligent than what they sound like now
.

sure does. I'm still shaking my head over the whole thing.

I heard juror 11 say today that he wished they had had something else to charge her with, something like not reporting her child missing...

He said it like it was something he had thought of, not something that was started by someone else and is coming to be known as Caylee's Law. That annoyed me.

Ooohhhkkkaaayyy....

Sounds like a doozy!

Umm..couldn't they have used the not reporting her for 31 days for at least 1 of the lesser charges?

I have watched both nights of the interview with the jury foreman. Here's my take.

1. George was combative with Baez.
2. George had selective memory.
3. George wasn't credible.
4. George had something to hide.
5. George probably had an affair with River Cruz
6. George might have covered up an accident.
7. George might have even been the murderer.
8. Scrutinized George at every turn.

CONCLUSION: Hmm. I thought Casey was the defendant. My bad.

yeah, I love how George was being judged as not credible, something to hide, might have covered things up...BUT Casey, the one on trial, the last one to see Caylee alive, was not guilty.

1. The jury foreman is very intelligent.
2. Therefore, he was picked immediately to be the foreman.
3. One other juror expressed an interest in being the foreman, but everybody else wanted HIM (I suspicion this was Juror #3).
4. He knows how to read people. That's his job (as a high school coach).
5. There were several jurors that were instrumental in helping him organize things (though, from the sound of him, he could have gone it alone).

CONCLUSION: Pompous know-it-all.

And since one is "reading people" a hige criteria for being a high school coach? AND...they were only out 11 hours, just how much organizing was going on ?

1. After "dissecting" the jury instructions (which must have taken AT LEAST 5 minutes), they had an initial vote on first degree before they got down to business.
2. Two jurors voted guilty. 10 innocent.
3. Of the two, one was strongly convinced it was first degree and the other was wavering.
4. They went ahead and voted on the lying to law enforcement charges because there was no doubt on those, so they could get those out of the way.
5. They voted on manslaughter charges and it was 6 to 6.
6. All of the above took AT LEAST an HOUR.
7. After having paid such close attention during the trial, they then scrutinized the evidence.
8. Even though it took them less than 11 hours, you must understand that they took few breaks.
9. Somehow, the juror who was strongly convinced it was murder one, and then the six who thought manslaughter, all came together and TA DA....agreed there wasn't enough evidence.
10. Even though one might say that they came to this decision quickly, you must understand quantity vs. quality (is that something like quantitative analysis vs. qualitative analysis?)

CONCLUSION: B.S.

I'll second that conclusion

1. No one testified that they'd ever seen Casey mistreat Caylee.
2. Saw pictures of Caylee climbing pool ladder.
3. Saw picture of Caylee standing by the sliding glass door.
4. Disturbing that Casey partied for 31 days, but that's it---disturbing. They didn't take that into account in deliberations.
5. Could have been a bag of trash in the trunk instead of "decomp".
6. Cindy might have lied, but they didn't believe chloroform involved anyway, so no big deal.
7. No duct tape attached to bones; only to hair.
8. George, George, George.
9. When prosecution rested, jury foreman was STUNNED!!! He thought: IS THAT IT? IS THAT ALL THEY'VE GOT? I NEED MORE!!!! He (and the rest of his jury minions) needed a lot more evidence than THAT.
10. They took it all VERY SERIOUSLY.

CONCLUSION: MORONS.

At the very least

Casey is a good liar but she loves the limelight. That will be her downfall. She might disguise herself, but she will not be happy to lead a "down low" life.

You know some rag mag is going to pay big bucks for the first photos of Casey spotted out of prison and in public.

We had a case where a young married couple raped, tortured and killed two girls. They were both sent to prison. He got life but she played the poor unwilling accomplice and got a plea deal - manslaughter and 12 yrs. in prison. When she got out, she changed her name and moved, but was soon discovered and her new name was released. She's managed to keep her head down. I haven't heard about her in the media for awhile now. It was a big case at home but did not receive huge attention much outside of my area.

However, I don't see Casey keeping her head low. I think she'll love that people are looking for her, wanting her photo, etc.

I am familiar with that story too...being right over the border we heard about it all the time..of course not in as much detail, but the Buffalo papers carried the trial in our papers. I had nightmares about them and couldn't believe that she got a deal made and then was released. :sad2:

I had to make the trip by the Anthony house yesterday and the Caylee memorial sight before heading to work.

After going there and seeing how close she was found to the house it makes me crazy that they couldn't find her sooner.

I can't comprehend how they couldn't find her on August 13th.

Jason

RIP Caylee
